Abstract: A unique system and method facilitates analyzes searches or queries that are geographic based. In particular, a user can submit a geo-tag based search for items posted on a listing service according to the item's location or geo-tag information. The geo-tag information for each item can be approximate such as the city, state, or zip code or more specific such as the street address where the item is located. The amount of geo-tag information disclosed to any other user can depend on the type of item being offered. Geo-tag information is analyzed to facilitate determining item matches. In addition, users that post items can employ query results to analyze the quality of their items such as from the buyer's perspective.

Abstract: A medication dispenser provides automation to the steps of locating and acquiring medications to be administered to a patient. The medication dispenser includes an enclosure providing a secure environment for storing medications in multiple sized medication storage bins. The medication storage bins are hung in storage racks located within the enclosure. A robot system is also provided within the enclosure for moving bins between the storage racks and a medication dispensing area. The medication dispensing area includes doors configured to open to define an opening for passing a selected bin through the enclosure. The medication storage bin includes multiple sub-compartments, each configured to receive a single medically related item. The medication storage bin is moved through the opening to present the first sub-compartment containing a medically related item, while other sub-compartment containing medically related items remain within the enclosure.

Abstract: As a pedestrian travels, various difficulties can be encountered, such as traveling through an unsafe neighborhood or being in an open area that is subject to harsh temperatures. A route can be developed for a person taking into account factors that specifically affect a pedestrian. Moreover, the route can alter as a situation of a user changes; for instance, if a user wants to add a stop along a route.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter relates to a computer-implemented architecture that can generate a map. The map can be a hybrid between an orthographic projection map and street-side images, thus including useful aspects from both types of representations. For example, an orthographic projection map is very effective at presenting global relationships among the features of the map but not effective at presenting local detail. In contrast, street -side images show excellent detail but do not convey the global information of an orthographic projection map. The hybrid map can thus provide a richer set of information than conventional maps and can also display objects/features of the hybrid map in multiple perspectives simultaneously on a single representation that is printable.

The computer system includes a relevance engine, a product database, and a graphical user interface to respond to user queries and to provide product details associated with one or more products included in the user queries. The relevance engine determines which products are similar to products included in the user queries. The graphical user interface displays product suggestions that refine the user queries without executing the query on the product database, where a subset of the product suggestions are linked to product details pages. User selection of any of the product suggestions within the subset directs the user to a product details page for a specific product and bypasses a listing of results having many products that match the refined user queries.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems directed to receiving search queries, retrieving documents, computing the number of categories to present for a given query, computing the number of results to show in each category, computing an ordering of categories, and for all the result pages beyond the first page employing user interface elements that optionally allow the user to quickly zoom in on a specific category and get more results belonging to that category.

Abstract: Systems and methods for regularly updating portions of a merged index are provided. Initially, upon receiving an indication that modifications have occurred to content of web-based documents, dynamic update of index (DUI) objects that identify the documents and expose the modified content are composed by ascertaining relative positions of the modified content within the documents, and packaging identifiers of the documents, the relative positions, and metadata underlying the modified content into a message. The DUI objects are applied to an overloading index that maintains structured records of recent modifications. In particular, portions of the overloading index are targeted utilizing the document identifiers and the relative positions specified by the DUI object, thereby updating the targeted portions within the overloading index corresponding to the modified content without rewriting the entire overloading index.

Abstract: Computerized methods and systems for professional evaluation and management coding of a patient visit based upon documentation are provided. Such methods and systems increase efficiency and enhance the quality of clinician documentation by permitting automatic coding as a byproduct of documentation and eliminating the necessity for an after-the-fact check of the patient's chart to ensure appropriate documentation. Computerized methods and systems for navigating to a portion of an electronic record, e.g., an electronic medical record, based upon professional evaluation and management coding are also provided, as is the automatic insertion of document content where necessary.

Abstract: Presented are techniques for extracting metadata from a digitally scanned document. The text of the digitally scanned document is obtained and a first algorithm is provided to identify various numbers found within the text, determine which numbers correspond to the page numbers of the document, and associate the determined numbers with the pages of the document. Furthermore, a second algorithm is provided that uses the text to determine the page type of the pages within the document. The second algorithm is configured to determine if a page is a table of contents page, an index page, or a title page.

Abstract: A method for suggesting related queries to a user query using semantic relationships that are present in informational content stored in public domains. Semantic relationships between named entities are discovered and the named entities are extracted. The entities are indexed according to the relationships. When a user query is received that includes one of the entities, query suggestions are returned to the user based on indexed relationships corresponding to the entity named in the user query.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing additional data within a document. Such techniques include providing a first document with a sub-region on a user interface, wherein the sub-region is associated with additional data. Techniques further include identifying an action to zoom-in on the sub-region and loading a zoomed-in version of the sub-region when the action is identified. Moreover, the techniques also include displaying the zoomed-in version of the sub-region, including the additional data, on the user interface, wherein the zoomed-in version of the sub-region is a separate document than the first document.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for analyzing opportunities for optimizing clinical processes within clinical facilities. An optimized practice process model may be defined for a particular clinical procedure, setting forth an optimal clinical process. In addition, critical levers may be identified within the optimal clinical process, representing the activities that have the greatest impact on outcomes. The optimized practice process model may also include metrics for quantifying return-on-investments for various opportunities. Clinical facilities may collect clinically-related data, such as current measures for the critical levers. Using the clinically-related data and the optimized practice process model, opportunities for process optimization may be analyzed, for example, by determining a return-on-investment for the various opportunities.

The data format utilizes error identifier fields to enable the verification of data integrity and bracket pairs to verify data structure integrity and to support data structure extensibility. The data structure is utilized to perform a single access operation. In performing a single access operation, the data structure is read, the data format is verified, and the data integrity is verified. In addition, in instances where the data structure includes complex data, a new feature, or a prior program version, support for the complex data, new feature, or prior program version is provided.
