Abstract: A pediatric digital wrap comprising a flexible T-shaped base member having a first end adapted to fold over and substantially cover a finger tip of a patient's injured digit. A removable insert comprising a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive with a non-adhesive center pad provides protection and padding for the injured digit. The removable insert is secured to the first side of the base member so that the insert is placed directly over the wound of the patient's digit when the first end is folded over the patient's finger tip. A finger strap wraps around the periphery of the patient's injured digit below the patient's finger tip and serves to secure the first end of the base member over the finger tip of the injured digit. A wrist strap is disposed perpendicular to the first end of the base member and adapted to wrap around a patient's wrist.
Abstract: The present invention is an imaging system for detecting concealed objects on an individual. The imaging system includes an imaging zone that is illuminated with millimeter wave energy. A plurality of millimeter wave cameras are focused to fully surround the imaging zone and have the ability to detect millimeter wave frequencies reflected from the imaging zone. As an individual passes through the imaging zone the plurality of millimeter wave cameras detect concealed objects by identifying differences in the millimeter wave energy reflected by the individual's body and a concealed object. A composite image is generated by a central processing unit and displayed on a monitor showing the concealed object on the individual through optical contrast.
Abstract: A triaxial connector release tool comprising an outer housing and an inner appliance. The shape and size of appliance is adapted to fit concentrically within the housing of the tool. The appliance is pivotally mounted to the housing of the tool about a tab. In use, the tool is placed over the female and male triaxial connectors whereby a first end of the housing rests against an annular shoulder of a connector to provide resistance when the tool is in use. A user grasps the tool about the housing and exerts an inward squeezing force so that a pair of flanges of the appliance depress the protrusions of the locking mechanism of the male connector until they are disengaged from the apertures of the female connector and allowing the male connector to easily slide back out of the female connector.
Abstract: An integrated drain and fountain device having a stationary fountain nozzle integrated within a lower portion of a sink and disposed to produce a vertical stream of water at a user-defined water pressure. A concentrically located drain to the fountain nozzle is adapted to receive and collect water and is in fluid communication with drain piping. A water supply riser is in fluid communication with a water intake pipe that allows both hot and cold water to enter the water supply riser so that water can be discharged through the fountain nozzle. A controller for the fountain device is located on a counter top so that when a downward force is applied to the controller, the downward force is directed through a linkage including a flexible arm that redirects the downward force to an upward force causing an o-ring stopper of the integrated drain and fountain device to move vertically.
Abstract: A system for deployment of a millimeter wave concealed object detection system using an outdoor passively illuminated structure is disclosed. In a particular embodiment, the structure includes at least one sidewall with at least one louvered panel within the sidewall. The louvered panel is orientated to reflect millimeter energy into the structure that is used in part by a concealed object detection system for detecting concealed objects. The louvered panel includes a plurality of adjustable parallel slats for obtaining an optimum deployment angle. The structure further includes at least one detection lane for guiding a subject through the structure and is configured between a controlled entry barrier and an exit barrier of the structure.
