  • Patent number: 8031210
Abstract: A method of rendering a computer generated 3D scene integrated with a base image, the method comprising loading a base image, such as a photograph, and a computer generated 3D scene or model. The base image is displayed on a monitor, and in one embodiment the calibration of the camera which generated the base image is determined. The 3D model is rendered as an overlay of the base image responsive thereto. In another embodiment, the camera calibration of the 3D scene is made consonant with the base image by selecting corresponding points. The base image is then additionally displayed at a predetermined transparency as an overlay of the 3D model. A user then selects pixels of the base image overlay for placement in the foreground. The selected pixels are then displayed without transparency and the balance of the base image overlay removed rendering the integrated image.

  • Patent number: 7970212
Abstract: The invention is a method of using Wavelet Transformation and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) systems for automatic detecting and classifying objects. To train the system in object recognition different images, which usually contain desired objects alongside other objects are used. These objects may appear at different angles. Different characteristics regarding the objects are extracted from the images and stored in a data bank. The system then determines the extent to which each inserted characteristic will be useful in future recognition and determines its relative weight. After the initial insertion of data, the operator tests the system with a set of new images, some of which contain the class objects and some of which contain similar and/or dissimilar objects of different classification.

  • Patent number: 7917223
Abstract: Osteogenesis and osseointegration promotion and maintenance devices for osseous implants include an implant member having a first electrode, an inlaid second electrode positioned on the member so that it is electrically isolated from and substantially flush with the member surface, and an electrical stimulation mechanism preferably located at the member and operative to provide electrical stimulation signals to endosseous tissue surrounding the implant through the first and second electrodes. The first electrode may be the member itself or a second inlaid electrode. The implant is thus electrically functionalized for osteogenesis and osseointgration acceleration. The device is applicable to both non-dental and dental implants. • Patent number: 7906868
Abstract: A secondary side voltage regulation scheme applied to a multiple output flyback converter. The output with the highest error voltage is selected to control the primary switch. The remaining outputs are regulated by varying the length of time that current is allowed to flow into each output by controlling the on time of a switch connected in series with each of the outputs. The switching of the windings is achieved using a single N channel MOSFET for each output. Regulation of the outputs is performed using leading edge modulation. The body diode of the output MOSFET switches are held off during the start of the commutation period by the use of an active clamp on the primary side.
