Abstract: A catheter assembly especially adapted for injecting therapeutic liquids such as DNA solutions to a patient's myocardium comprises an elongated guiding catheter for insertion through a patient's artery to the vicinity of the myocardium, a reservoir for therapeutic liquid at the distal end of the guiding catheter, one or more injection needles protruding from the distal end of the guiding catheter and in fluid communication with the reservoir, the extent of needle protrusion being appropriate for penetration of but not passage through the myocardial wall, and an operating device for delivering a predetermined quantity of therapeutic liquid from the reservoir through the needles.
Abstract: A sheet transfer system for transferring sheets on which an image is recorded by an image forming system and discharging the sheets to a tray includes a conveyor belt and a vacuum fan which generates a suction force for attracting the sheets against the conveyor belt. The suction force is stronger at the downstream side portion of the conveyor belt.
Abstract: A door lock/unlock system of a type having an electrically operated door lock/unlock mechanism for holding a door in a locked position and allowing the door to be opened comprises a position sensor for detecting positions of the door lock/unlock mechanism, namely a lock position and an unlock position, when a battery is removed from an electric circuit once and thereafter re-connected again to the same, with or without an intention of committing a theft of the vehicle, and a controller for controlling operation of the door lock/unlock mechanism according to the detected position.
Abstract: A molding method and apparatus capable of reliably removing a molded product without deformation even if the product has a shape difficult to be removed, such as a shape having a plurality of vertical portions. The method of molding a product by using a film sheet, includes the steps of: adapting to operate a pair of film pushing rings disposed facing upper and lower metal molds of a molding apparatus for thermally molding a product by using a film sheet, independently from the upper and lower metal molds; attracting and attaching a molded product to one of the upper and lower metal molds; fixing the ring on the side of the one metal mold; attracting and attaching a pickup jig to the molded product in tight contact therewith, the pickup jig having a surface shape matching the surface shape of the molded product; releasing the attraction and attachment by the one metal mold and moving the pickup jig to displace the molded product from the one metal mold; and moving the fixed ring to an original position.
