  • Patent number: 7301697
Abstract: Specularly reflected light from a convergence position on an object surface 31 enters a second critical-angle prism 14, another prism 15, and a first critical-angle prism 13 of a parallel beam selection optical system 20 in this order as a parallel beam traveling along the optical axis. The critical-angle prisms 13, 14 have critical angles of 45 degrees with respect to the wavelength of the light beam. Light beams other than the parallel light beam are removed at oblique surfaces 13a, 14a of the critical-angle prisms 13, 14, thereby allowing only the parallel light beam to exit as a regular light beam. This parallel beam is formed into a convergent light by a collimator lens 12, reflected by a half prism 11 and converged on an image pickup surface of an image pickup device 52. In this way, unnecessary noise light can be removed without placing a pin hole plate such as that placed before the image pickup plane in a confocal microscope.

  • Patent number: 7297214
Abstract: Provided is free cutting alloy excellent in machinability, preserving various characteristics as alloy. The free cutting alloy contains: one or more of Ti and Zr as a metal element component; and C being an indispensable element as a bonding component with the metal element component, wherein a (Ti,Zr) based compound including one or more of S, Se and Te is formed in a matrix metal phase. The free cutting alloy is more excellent in machinability, preserving various characteristics as alloy at similar levels to a conventional case. The effect is especially conspicuous, for example, when a compound expressed in a chemical form of (Ti,Zr)4C2(S,Se,Te)2 as the (Ti,Zr) based compound is formed at least in a dispersed state in the alloy structure.

  • Patent number: 7294779
Abstract: A solar cell 1 has a number of grooves 2 formed in parallel with each other on a first main surface 24a of a silicon single crystal substrate. An electrode 6 is formed on the inner side face of each groove 2 on one side. Each groove 2 is formed in the direction in disagreement with the <110> direction on the first main surface 24a. This raises mechanical strength of the solar cell 1. The direction of formation of the grooves 2 preferably crosses the <110> direction nearest to the direction of formation at an angle of 4°˜45° on the acute angle side.

  • Patent number: 7291992
Abstract: The present invention provides a load failure protection circuit and a discharge lamp driving apparatus, which can exactly detect a failure even if the failure arises in any of a plurality of discharge lamps, and can stop drive of the discharge lamp. A part of currents of corresponding CCFLs (201 and 202) flows into two bypass resistors (21a and 21b), further, a full current of the bypass resistors (21a and 21b) flows into a resistor for full current detection (22), and its voltage drop is inputted into a control IC (1) as a feedback signal. On the other hand, cathodes of Zener diodes (25a and 25b) are connected to end parts of the bypass resistors (21a and 21b) on each CCFL side. When potential of any one of the cathodes rises by a load failure, a corresponding one of the Zener diodes (25a and 25b) generates a Zener voltage for a transistor (26) to become conductive.

  • Patent number: 7282025
Abstract: A DVI circuit for generating a digital video signal in accordance with a display standard of a personal computer, etc. is provided for a processor device to which an electronic endoscope is connected. On the output side of the DVI circuit, a high vision system converter which is an adapter unit is connected as arbitrarily attached and removed using a connector. In the processor device, when the fixed state of a fixing screw is detected by a detection switch SW1, and it is determined that the power supply line connected using a connector to the high vision system converter is in the energized state, a live line processing circuit activates a signal line of the connector. Thus, the adapter unit can be easily attached and removed without turning off the processor device.

  • Patent number: 7277567
Abstract: According to a distribution of image data values corresponding to individual spatial coordinate points on a three-dimensional space obtained when a region to be observed is tomographically taken by a radiographic medical diagnosis system, an interpolation area is provided within a segment set within a range of the image data values. In the interpolation area, degrees of chromaticity and opaqueness of each spatial coordinate point are made variable in response to the magnitude of image data value. The degrees of chromaticity and opaqueness of all the spatial coordinate points located on each line of sight connecting each plane coordinate point on a two-dimensional projection plane and a point of view are respectively integrated, and thus integrated values are reflected on the plane coordinate points on the line of sight.

  • Patent number: 7248281
Abstract: An electronic endoscope apparatus has a single coaxial cable installed between a scope A and a processor unit B. Waveform superimposing circuits superimpose a video signal on power transmitted through the coaxial cable and sequentially superimpose scope-side reference pulses and processor-side reference pulses alternately on horizontal scanning blanking periods in one field of the video signal. At the same time, the scope A and processor unit B generate reference signals and various timing signals synchronized with the reference pulses of the counterpart and perform video processing based on them. This enables accurate sampling even when scopes with different pixel counts are used. Also, a scope information signal and electronic shutter control signal may be superimposed on a predetermined blanking period in the video signal.
