  • Patent number: 8350893
Abstract: A three-dimensional imaging apparatus 101 for generating an image of a three-dimensional object 111 is disclosed. The 3D-imaging apparatus 101 has two sets 103a, 103b of reflective elements 105, an image-capturing device 107 and a processor. The image-capturing device 107 is for capturing two images using rays emitted from the object 111 and reflected from each of the two sets 103a, 103b of reflective elements 105. The processor is arranged to identify a plurality of sets of matching points in the respective captured images, each set of the matching points having been generated by the respective rays emitted by a single corresponding element of the object 111. For each set of the matching points identified in the respective captured images, the processor is arranged to determine a location of the corresponding element of the object 111. Thus, a three-dimensional image of the object 111 can be generated by the processor using the determined locations of a plurality of elements of the object 111.

  • Patent number: 8348655
Abstract: An optical molding apparatus molds an optically molded product by stacking cured layers. Each cured layer is formed by emitting light according to cross-sectional-shape data of the optically molded product onto a surface of photo-curable resin. The optical molding apparatus includes an exposing unit and an exposure control unit. The exposing unit performs exposure on the photo-curable resin for each of small work areas that are defined by dividing an overall work area, which is where an optical molding operation is performed, into a plurality of areas. The exposure control unit controls an exposure condition of the exposing unit for each of the small work areas and allows the exposure to be performed collectively on multiple layers' worth of the photo-curable resin in a predetermined one of the small work areas.

  • Patent number: 8347086
Abstract: A system and method of guaranteeing the presence of secure and tamper-proof remote files over a distributed communication medium, such as the Internet, is provided. The system and method automatically detects, and then self-repairs corrupt, modified or non-existent remote files. The method first performs an integrity check on a remote file and then determines whether the integrity check passed. If the integrity check passed, then the user goes through the authentication process as normal. If the integrity check fails, then the present invention redirects to an install module in order to prepare to reinstall the remote file. Via the install module, the present invention then reinstalls the remote file and the user is then taken through the authentication process as normal.
