  • Patent number: 7841554
Abstract: A recording tape cartridge can prevent release of rotation locking of a reel with respect to a case accompanying dropping of the recording tape cartridge. The tape recording cartridge is configured to rotatably accommodate within a case a reel that has magnetic tape wound on a reel hub. Within the reel hub, external teeth of a brake gear, of a brake member that is supported so as to be non-rotatable with respect to the case, mesh with an engaged gear having internal teeth, preventing rotation of the reel with respect to the case. Lock portions of lock members are inserted between the reel positioned biased to a bottom panel side by a compression coil spring, and a top panel, thereby preventing movement of the reel with respect to the case in the reel axial direction.

Abstract: In an optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device are arranged in parallel and disposed on a substrate. The optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device is disposed with three or more Mach-Zehnder interferometers between the first and second optical input/output ports. The optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device divides, by wavelength, multiplexed light comprising first light and second light whose wavelengths are different and which are input to one of the first optical input/output ports and outputs the multiplexed light from each of the second optical input/output ports. The absolute value of an optical path difference ?L of each the Mach-Zehnder interferometers is constant. The optical multiplexing/demultiplexing device includes one or more each of a pair of two successive Mach-Zehnder interferometers where the sum of their optical path differences becomes +2?L or ?2?L and a pair of two successive Mach-Zehnder interferometers where the sum of their optical path differences becomes 0.

  • Patent number: 7785005
Abstract: A cassette accommodating device accommodates cassettes with various sizes. Each cassette houses a rechargeable battery and a radiation detection unit that generates a radiographic image according to an amount of received radiation and each cassette is provided with a power receiving unit for recharging the rechargeable battery on at least one of two connected side faces of each cassette. The device includes a groove portion formed with a sloping face that faces one of the two connected side faces of an accommodated cassette and a bottom face that faces another of the two connected side faces of the accommodated cassette. The bottom face is inclined such that the cassette moves toward the sloping face when the cassette is loaded. A power supply unit is formed to the sloping face and/or the bottom face so as to supply power to the power receiving unit when the cassette has been accommodated.

  • Patent number: 7777881
Abstract: A laser device is equipped with an exciting optical system having a GaN semiconductor laser and a condensing lens; and a resonator having of a dichroic mirror and an output mirror, and a solid laser medium is disposed within the resonator. The solid laser medium is disposed in the resonator such that the c axis of a crystal is parallel to the x axis. The exciting optical system is disposed such that the direction in which excitation light emitted from the GaN semiconductor laser is polarized is parallel to the y axis, and is formed so as to absorb excitation light in the crystal axis perpendicular to the c axis. The direction in which the oscillation light emitted from the solid laser medium is polarized coincides with a direction parallel to the c-axis direction, and also coincides with a direction along the x axis.

The plural optical memory elements are arranged on an optical path through which signal light and control light propagate in mutually opposite directions. Further, the optical delay element is disposed between the optical memory elements that are adjacent to each other. The optical delay element imparts different delays to the signal light and the control light. According to a preferred exemplary embodiment of this optical buffer device, each of the optical memory elements includes an optical waveguide through which the signal light and the control light propagate and an optical resonator that is disposed in proximity to this optical waveguide, and a coupling between the optical waveguide and the optical resonator is generated or cancelled depending on whether or not the control light is inputted.
