  • Patent number: 7760866
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for automatically auditing code routing instructions on switches in a telecommunication network. Code routing information is retrieved from at least one source containing code routing information. Based on the retrieved code routing information, the correct code routing instructions for a switch are automatically determined. The actual code routing instructions programmed on the switch are retrieved and discrepancies between the actual code routing instructions retrieved from the switch and the determined correct code routing instructions are identified.

  • Patent number: 7759642
Abstract: A method for focusing a scanning microscope, including scanning a primary charged particle beam across first sites of a reference die of a wafer, detecting a secondary beam emitted from the sites, and computing first focus scores for the sites based on the secondary beam. The method includes scanning the primary beam across second sites of a given die of the wafer while modulating a focal depth of the primary beam, the reference die and the given die having congruent layouts, the second sites corresponding vectorially in location with the first sites, and detecting the secondary beam emitted from the second sites in response to the primary beam. The method also includes computing second focus scores for the second sites based on the detected secondary beam emitted therefrom, and determining an exact focus of the primary beam for the second sites using the first and the second focus scores.

  • Patent number: 7759165
Abstract: A nanospring is formed by first forming a stack of alternating layers of materials which have different susceptibilities to a selective etch solution. The stack is formed over a substrate and is subsequently etched with a substantially non-isotropic etch to create a via having substantially straight sidewalls. The sidewalls of the via are exposed to the selective etch solution, thereby creating irregular sidewalls of the via. A metal film is conformally deposited within the via, and, after excess metal is removed, the stack of alternating layers of materials is etched to expose remaining portions of the conformably deposited film, which comprise the nanospring.

  • Patent number: 7760869
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling the transmit volume level of a speakerphone includes receiving a transmit audio signal. If the speakerphone is in a speakerphone mode, the method further includes measuring a send output level of the transmit audio signal, comparing the send output level of the transmit audio signal with a send output level threshold value, and controlling the send output level of the transmit audio signal based upon the comparison of the send output level of the transmit audio signal and the send output level threshold value using automatic gain control. Some embodiments further include determining the send output level threshold value based upon a send loudness rating (SLR) target difference value between a speakerphone SLR target value and a handset SLR target value. In some embodiments, if the speakerphone is in a handset mode, the send output level of the transmit audio signal remains substantially the same.

  • Patent number: 7761582
Abstract: A method of managing personal information of a user wherein personal information of a user is provided to an information provider from any location, through a simple apparatus, and with reliability. Personal information is stored beforehand in a user profile database of a server. When the user accesses a service provider device from a terminal device through the server and the Internet, the service provider device requests personal information of the user. The server reads the requested personal information from the user profile database and transfers the personal information to the service provider device. This novel arrangement makes it unnecessary for the user to input the personal information on its own.

  • Patent number: 7758533
Abstract: A hemofiltration system and method to treat an Inflammatory Mediator Related Disease in a mammal, including chronic and acute diseases, include a hemofilter and an adsorptive device. The hemofilter removes ultrafiltrate from a blood stream extracted from the mammal to create a filtered blood stream and an ultrafiltrate stream. The adsorptive device may include one or more adsorbent materials and may be used to adsorb inflammatory mediators from the ultrafiltrate stream received from the hemofilter to create a post adsorption ultrafiltrate stream. The post adsorption ultrafiltrate stream may be selectively combined with the filtered blood stream and together with the filtered blood stream may be returned to the mammal.
