  • Patent number: 7397003
Abstract: An electronic digital controller, such as a load cell indicator, is disclosed in which a number of components, such as a circuit board, display, and keypad are placed within an enclosure, and the enclosure is bonded closed, such as using an adhesive, to render the enclosure watertight. The keypad is a touch sensitive, capacitive keypad with no moving parts, and it is housed behind a rigid panel. An optoelectronic transceiver allows for data exchange with an electronic memory device housed in the adhesively sealed enclosure and allows for data exchange and for updating or modification of software code housed therein. Other components, such as another circuit board, a power supply, and block connectors, are placed in an adjacent enclosure, and the circuit boards in the two enclosures are electrically connected. The power supply is preferably a potted AC power supply but may also include a battery.

  • Patent number: 7311331
Abstract: A combination is disclosed having a trailer, telescoping support members, and a drive. The drive has a motor and a drive shaft, and the drive shaft has a first end portion affixed to a first cross member and a second end portion affixed to a second cross member. The first cross member is operably connected to means for moving the support members between raised and lowered positions. To install the drive on a trailer with a cross member, a segment of the cross member is removed and both ends of the drive shaft are affixed to portions of the remaining cross member. A kit having a drive and a template may be provided for retrofitting trailers. The template is a sheet that may be positioned on a cross member to determine locations for cuts and holes.

  • Patent number: 7230708
Abstract: The invention relates to optical microscopy, and more particularly to the methods for photothermal examination of absorbing microheterogeneities using laser radiation. The invention can be widely used in laser technique, industry, and biomedicine to examine transparent objects with absorbing submicron fragments, including detection of local impurities and defects in super-pure optical and semiconducting materials and non-destructive diagnostics of biological samples on cellular and subcellular levels. The object of the present invention is to increase sensitivity, spatial resolution and informative worth when examining local absorbing heterogeneities in transparent objects, as well as to detect the size of said heterogeneities even if said size is smaller than the radiation wavelength used. Said object is achieved by the pump beam irradiation of a sample, the duration of said irradiation not being longer than the characteristic time of cooling of the microheterogeneity observed.

  • Patent number: 7056324
Abstract: A wart removal device is disclosed. The device has a handle and first and second pluralities of tines having different heights. One set of tines has a height of approximately 0.04 inch or less, and the other set has a height of approximately 0.08 inch or less. The different sets may be disposed on opposite sides of the handle at the same end of the handle or may be disposed on opposite ends of the handle. In operation, the longer set of tines is raked against wart tissue to create a plurality of incisions in the wart tissue. This treatment is repeated over a time period. After that time period, the shorter set of tines is used. The tines create incisions without causing noticeable bleeding. The device may be used in combination with a medicament and may be provided as a kit, including the device and a medicament.
