Abstract: A system in package device according to an example of the present invention includes a package substrate, an external terminal which is arranged on one face side or the other face side of the package substrate, a first chip which is arranged on the other face side of the package substrate, a second chip which is arranged on the first chip, and bumps which are arranged between the first chip and the second chip. A signal to be input into the external terminal is input into the first chip via the second chip.

Abstract: A stacked-chip device includes a first inductive chip having a first function, a second inductive chip having a second function different from the first function, which is stacked on the first inductive chip, and a third inductive chip having the second function, which is stacked on the second inductive chip. Each of the first, second and third inductive chips has transmitting inductors which transmit data and receiving inductors which receive data. The transmitting inductors and the receiving inductors are disposed in line symmetry to an axis of symmetry. The axes of symmetry of the first, second and third inductive chips are overlapped. Each of the second and third inductive chips is disposed in upside-down or back to front to the first inductive chip.

Abstract: Systems and methods for calculating dependencies and costs of assets which take into account the costs of the infrastructure and resources needed to support that asset are disclosed. A data model of an arbitrary system may be used to create a dependency map for one or more of the components within the data model, taking into account the dependency chain of the component. Utilizing the costs of various components in this dependency chain, the cost of the original component may then be calculated.

Abstract: Systems and methods for carrying on marketing dialogues are disclosed. Specifically, embodiments of the systems and methods presented may allow marketing dialogues to be carried on with a set of participants by sending a communication to each of the participants. Another set of participant may be assembled from the initial participants and an action may then be taken with respect to this second set of participants.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described which facilitate the integration of data into a content management system. Legacy data is inspected, and content types are generated based on a data model. From these content types, content type objects may be generated. The data may then be examined to acquire a key set, and a content instance object generated for each datum found which matches a content type. This content instance object can then be associated with the datum using one or more key values, saved, and subsequently used to manage the data. These methods and systems allow data to be migrated to a content management system without any modification to the existing data repository or its associated structures.

Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatuses for operating a converter or other circuits are disclosed. More particularly, in one embodiment a converter or other circuit can be operated in two modes which may include the count-to-time and time-to count modes to determine an output value corresponding to an input signal. During operation in the count-to-time mode a converter may be operated using a reference signal to determine a number of clock cycles needed until an output corresponds to a scaling factor is reached. During operation of the circuit in the time-to-count mode then, the converter may be operated for this number of clock cycles using the input signal to determine an output. This output may be proportional to the level on the input signal.

Abstract: A computer casing may have an opening that requires sealing against water ingress. A system for preventing ingress of liquid into the opening may include a door rotatably connected to the computer casing, a layer of material adhered to the door and having a chamfered edge, a bar movably connected to the door and operable for travel in a first direction or a second direction opposite the first direction and a spring having a first end connected to the bar and a second end connected to the door for biasing the bar in the first direction of travel. Closing the door causes the layer of material to contact a recessed surface of the opening and deflect the chamfered edge to form a seal in the recessed opening. Moving the bar in the first direction retains the door relative to the computer to maintain the seal formed by the layer of material.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system that emulates a desired waveform by producing a time profile of the desired waveform, which is characterized by a plurality of sample values, and generating a plurality of RF waveforms, each RF waveform of the plurality of RF waveforms having a polarity and scaled energy based on a corresponding one of the plurality of sample values, to produce an aggregate RF energy having spectral characteristics that approximate the spectral characteristics of the desired waveform.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a control device and a method executing thereon for allocating network bandwidth to users accessing a controlled network. In response to a user connecting to the control device using a user device, the control device obtains a user bandwidth allocation profile for that user based on user credentials. The user bandwidth allocation profile may be stored local or remote to the control device. A provisioning module running on the control device can map attributes in the user bandwidth allocation profile to a traffic control rule and associate the traffic control rule with the user based on the user credentials and considering information identifying the user device used by the user to connect to the control device. A traffic conditioning module running on the control device can regulate the network bandwidth usage by the user utilizing the traffic control rule associated with the user.

Abstract: Embodiments of sales generation, including sales generation employing reverse lead generation using vehicle data systems and methods, are presented herein. In particular, in certain embodiments a user may utilize the vehicle data system to obtain pricing data corresponding to a desired vehicle configuration. When the user is presented with the pricing data associated with the specified vehicle configuration the user may additionally be presented with an upfront price offered by a dealer, where by providing their personal information the user may obtain the name of the dealer offering the upfront price and may additionally be offered the opportunity to purchase the desired, or similar, vehicle at the upfront price.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein include LEDs that promote photon tunneling. One embodiment of an LED device can have a quantum well layer adapted to generate light having a wavelength, a p-doped alloy layer on a first side of the quantum well layer and an n-doped alloy layer on the other side of the quantum well layer. The device can also include an electrode electrically connected to the p-doped alloy layer and an electrode electrically connected to the n-doped alloy layer. According to one embodiment the thickness of the n-doped alloy layer is less than the wavelength of light generated by the quantum well layer to allow light generated by the quantum well layer to tunnel to the medium (e.g., air). In another embodiment, the entire layer structure can have a thickness that is less than the wavelength.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed which allow various applications which may utilize a distributed RAID system (or other types of applications) to be executed on the same set of computing devices which implement that distributed RAID system. More particularly, in certain embodiments a virtualization layer may be executed on a data bank. A set of desired application programs may be executed using this virtualization layer, where the context for each instance of the applications executing on the virtualization layer may be stored in a volume kept utilizing the distributed RAID system.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for developing policies which govern entities and applying the developed policies against representations of entities, where the representations are contained in a repository. One embodiment of a method of the present invention includes obtaining a policy comprising a rule, wherein the rule comprises a condition associated with compliance to the rule, generating one or more filters according to the condition, applying the one or more filters to a plurality of representations in a repository, wherein each representation represents an entity and determining a set of entities compliant with the rule based on the application of the one or more filters to the plurality of representations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for promoting user generation of content are disclosed. More particularly, embodiments of systems and methods to facilitate the generation of content by users are disclosed. Specifically, in one embodiment, in order to drive generation of desired content, the generation of content by a user may be linked to an opportunity to generate additional content (where the two types of content may be the same or different). In particular, in certain embodiments when a user has generated a first type of content the opportunity to generate a second type of content may be presented to that user.

Abstract: Cooling systems for computers are disclosed. In particular, embodiment of such cooling solutions may effectively be used in conjunction with mobile computers that have a polymer (or other type of) chassis. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention use micro vapor plates to conduct the heat generated by one or more electronic components of a mobile computer to the chassis of the mobile computer such that the heat from the electronic components is conducted into, and spread over, at least a portion of the surface of the chassis. The mobile computer can then be cooled by convection or radiation.

Abstract: A semiconductor device includes a BIST circuit configured to detect a defective bit in a DRAM connected to the semiconductor device, and retrieve an address of the detected defective bit, a non-volatile eFuse macro configured to retain the address of the defective bit in the DRAM, the defective bit being detected by the BIST circuit, and a repair register configured to store data for the address of the defective bit. The semiconductor device also includes an address controller configured to, based on the address retained in the eFuse macro, perform control to use the repair register during writing or reading of data to or from the address of the defective bit.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide a system and method for transferring data between an unstructured data source and a structured destination. In one embodiment, graphical representations of a unstructured data source and a structured destination are presented to a user via a graphical user interface of a computer. Using the graphical user interface, the user can draw lines between the graphical representations to indicate how data from the unstructured data source should be associated with and transferred to the structured destination. The graphical representation of the unstructured data source may be generated using data extracted from a web based document. This data extraction can be done recursively and at least partially in parallel with retrieving files associated with hyperlinks within the web based document.

Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling file access. A data structure is provided which includes a set of files (artwork for a promotional products ordering system in some embodiments) and a set of user accounts. Each file and each account has associated arbitrary classifiers associated therewith. When account classifier(s) match file classifier(s), the corresponding users (salespersons in some embodiments) may access the files. The matching files may be Listed for the users. The arbitrary classifiers can be nominal key:value pairs. A system is provided which includes a network, computers, and memory which contains such a data structure. The system may include a Web based file access interface. A method is provided in which arbitrary classifiers are associated with files and users. Users with classifiers which match a file classifier are allowed access to the corresponding file. An administrator may upload files to a shared repository in the memory.

Abstract: A method can be used to analyze the “real-estate” performance of content items within a network site. The method can comprise determining the click distance to reach each content item and determining the performance of each content item. The method can also comprise calculating a predicted value for performance based on statistical relationship between location and performance observed in a population of content items. The method can comprise comparing the predicted and actual performance. If a content item has an actual performance greater than its predicted performance, then it may be promoted to a better location in the site and the converse for poorer performing content.

Abstract: A multi-processor according to an example of the invention comprises a first control unit which stores first compressed data acquired externally in a first memory, a hardware decoding unit which decodes the first compressed data stored in the first memory and storing the decoded data in a second memory, an encoding processor element which includes at least one of a plurality of processor elements, encodes the decoded data stored in the second memory in accordance with encoding software stored in a third memory, and stores second compressed data obtained by encoding the decoded data in a fourth memory, and a second control unit which outputs the second compressed data stored in the fourth memory to the outside.
