Abstract: An exhaust outlet 34 is formed at the center of a rear end wall 46 of a tail cap 21 closing a rear end opening of a muffler body 20, and a tail pipe 30 is connected at its rear end to the exhaust outlet 34. The exhaust outlet 34 is formed through a tail pipe supporting member 35 mounted on the rear end wall 46. The tail pipe supporting member 35 is formed with an annular mud guiding groove 37 opening rearward around the exhaust outlet 34. The mud accumulated on the rear end wall 46 is guided into the mud guiding groove 37 and moved in the mud guiding groove 37 owing to its capillarity. Accordingly, the mud can be moved down along the mud guiding groove 37 and smoothly dropped to the ground, thus preventing the clogging of the exhaust outlet 34 with the mud on the rear end wall 46.
Abstract: A data processing representation is expressed in the form of code sections, which may be nested, using multiple programming languages. The representation is read by an execution engine. The execution engine identifies the language of each code section, and a corresponding language specific processing unit is invoked to process the code section. The processing unit reads that section, identifying sub-sections specified in it's associated language and other sub-sections specified in unknown languages. It executes the sub-sections specified in its associated language with the intended semantics and in the appropriate order. When a sub-section specified in an unknown language is encountered, it delegates processing of that sub-section back to the execution engine, which repeats this process for the unknown sub-section. The execution result is returned back to the requesting language specific processing unit, which continues processing from where it left off.

Abstract: The present invention provides a charged particle beam irradiating apparatus capable of simply preventing unevenness or reduction in a peripheral portion of the dose distribution of a charged particle beam. A charged particle beam irradiating apparatus includes scanning electromagnets that scan a charged particle beam and a control device that controls the operations of the scanning electromagnets. In the charged particle beam irradiating apparatus, the control unit changes a scanning speed when the charged particle beam is irradiated along an irradiation line such that a peripheral portion of the dose distribution of the charged particle beam is corrected.

A method of making the stent including exposing a tube formed from a bioabsorbable polymer to radiation to crosslink the bioabsorbable polymer and forming a stent body from the exposed tube is disclosed. The tube can include a crosslinking agent which induces crosslinking upon radiation exposure. Additionally or alternatively, the bioabsorbable polymer can be a copolymer that crosslinks upon exposure to radiation in the absence of a crosslinking agent.
Abstract: The present invention provides an enhanced H-ARQ scheme that optimizes bandwidth utilization and spectrum efficiency. When an H-ARQ attempt is unsuccessful due to loss or error over a hop between the BS and MS/SS, then only the first node in the hop chain that fails to decode the packet transmits another H-ARQ attempt. The BS determines the first node that fails on decoding based on certain information such as the feedback information sent from the nodes on the path. The previous node of the failed node is then instructed to retransmit by the BS.
