Patent number: 8074089Abstract: A power supply controlling system includes a receiving device, a power supply device, and a transmitting device connected to an information processing apparatus. The receiving device includes a transmitting portion that transmits a switch signal of a power supply switch used for on/off of the power supply device to the transmitting device via second signal lines used for the reception of a second video signal, which are different from first signal lines used for the reception of a first video signal. The transmitting device includes an acquiring portion that acquires the switch signal from the second signal lines on which the second video signal and the switch signal are mixed, and an outputting portion that outputs the switch signal to the power supply device. The receiving device and the transmitting device are connected with a single cable including the first and the second signal lines.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2008Date of Patent: December 6, 2011Assignee: Fujitsu Component LimitedInventors: Fujio Seki, Yuichiro Terasawa

Patent number: 8033466Abstract: An electronic device includes: a cabinet on whose end surface is formed a slot for insertion of a card; a card access unit that has a terminal that contacts an electrode of the card inserted from the slot. The card access unit is disposed in a position spaced from the slot, houses part, on a front end side of the insertion direction, of the card, and accesses the card via the terminal. The electronic further includes an electronic part disposed on a shield plate that is placed on the bottom surface, in a position overlapping with the card access unit. The shield plate serves also as a guide plate that guides the card inserted from the slot, to the card access unit in conjunction with the bottom surface of the cabinet.Type: GrantFiled: July 16, 2008Date of Patent: October 11, 2011Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Ikki Tatsukami, Yoshiaki Tamura

Patent number: 7640515Abstract: The present invention is directed to a two-handed input control system that dynamically changes an input-to-object mapping for mapping movement of a graphical object on a display of a virtual scene as the viewpoint of the virtual scene changes. As input to the system for changing the position of the graphical object occurs, the mapping is revised to reflect changes in the viewpoint so that the object moves as inherently expected. That is, changes to the viewpoint change the mapping so that a correspondence between the viewpoint and the input space is always maintained. During movement of the object a screen cursor is visually suppressed so that the movement of the graphical object and the screen cursor do not split the attention of the user. The screen cursor is always maintained within the visual display region of the virtual scene even when the object moves out of the visual display region by moving the cursor to a center of the screen when it reaches an edge of the screen.Type: GrantFiled: May 10, 2004Date of Patent: December 29, 2009Assignee: Autodesk, Inc.Inventors: Ravin Balakrishnan, Gordon Kurtenbach

Patent number: 6870666Abstract: A controlling apparatus and a controlling method for a wavelength division multiplexing optical amplifier to reduce the controlling error due to noise light included in the monitoring light. The controlling apparatus branches, by a photocoupler, a portion of WDM signal light amplified by a light level controlling part and separates the branched light into groups of even-numbered channel components and odd-numbered channel components using a wavelength channel separate filter. Monitor signals corresponding to the light powers of the even-numbered group and odd-numbered group, respectively, are generated by respective photoelectric converting parts and LPF's. One of the monitor signals, which corresponds to one of the even-numbered group and the odd-numbered group, is selected by a monitor signal selecting/controlling part and then sent to a comparator.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2002Date of Patent: March 22, 2005Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventor: Tetsuo Wada

Patent number: 6135384Abstract: A device has a pivoted lever for detecting a near end state of a roll of paper, and the lever is held at a first position by the weight of a roll of paper, but is resiliently biased toward a second position by a spring. When the roll of paper does not have a core, and when the weight thereof falls to a predetermined value, the lever is moved from the first position to the second position due to a resilient force of the spring. When the roll of paper has a core, and when a diameter thereof is reduced to a predetermined value, the lever receives the roll of paper in a recess formed therein, and is moved from the first position to the second position due to a resilient force of the spring. When the lever is moved to the second position, this is detected by a suitable detecting element. Thus, the detector can detect the near end state of the roll of paper without regard to whether the roll of paper has a core or not.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1999Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignee: Fujitsu Isotec LimitedInventors: Eamon Skelly, Kohichi Yoshida
