Patent number: 3961426Abstract: A model, portable stage assembly capable of being disassembled and operatively assembled so as to predetermine the design of an intended set including the arrangement of various model furniture or other scaled down set elements. The assembly comprises a stage means including a relatively soft, penetrable surface on which a plurality of set elements can be positioned and rearranged by contact means in the form of pins or the like serving to penetrate the surface and thereby be fixedly positioned in a determined area. Housing wall elements, backdrop elements including side curtains and a facing are all movably connected to the stage base and floorings in an adjustable predetermined relation to one another so as to allow the arrangement or predetermination of a set design on a scaled down basis.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 1974Date of Patent: June 8, 1976Inventor: Brad Wallace

Patent number: 3956589Abstract: An error-free, data telecommunication system designed for continuous high speed error-free data communications over dial-up voice grade circuits comprising a high speed data transmission section including internal data buffering and a low speed reverse channel ARQ (automatic request for repeat) receiver and a high speed data receiving section including a low speed reverse channel ARQ transmitter whereby high speed data and reverse ARQ signaling are transmitted simultaneously over a two wire dial-up network. The system is capable of half-duplex, two wire operation and full-duplex, four wire operation.Type: GrantFiled: September 24, 1974Date of Patent: May 11, 1976Assignee: Paradyne CorporationInventors: Luther V. Weathers, Thomas V. Saliga, Joseph M. Looney, Harvey H. Harris, Cletus L. Gardenhour

Patent number: 3954117Abstract: A pocket-sized inflatable umbrella of the type primarily intended for disposal after a single use including a thin flexible plastic sheet having air passages formed therein, wherein the sheet is dimensioned and configured to substantially define a hemisphere surrounding the head and/or shoulders of the user when inflated. The sheet is fixedly attached to a telescoping sleeve, both of which fit into a housing of a suitable size and configuration for carrying in a pocket or purse. When the sleeve is extended from the housing, the plastic sheet is inflated, and the housing serves as a handle for the umbrella.Type: GrantFiled: January 23, 1975Date of Patent: May 4, 1976Inventor: William E. Wallace

Patent number: 3946848Abstract: A coin totalizer mechanism utilized in vending machines or the like for the purpose of providing access to the contents of a given machine upon the depositing of a predetermined amount of coins into the mechanism. A coin chute defines a common flow path through which coins of various denominations pass and are directed into engagement with a totalizer actuator element substantially in the form of a walking beam having a portion thereof positionable in driving engagement with a register. Free selective incremental advancement of the register is accomplished by actuation of the coins having predetermined coin characteristics, including size and weight, with a totalizer actuator element positionable to regulate, at least in part, movable engagement between the walking beam or a portion thereof and the register.Type: GrantFiled: September 5, 1974Date of Patent: March 30, 1976Inventor: Karl Knickerbocker

Patent number: 3945592Abstract: An air reefing system of the type to be used primarily in combination with a flexible flow form device. The air reefing system basically comprises a flexible flow form device construction comprising at least three skins of interrelating shape and construction to define a predetermined configuration including a plurality of Jordan clusters formed in the first and second skins and a plurality of holonomic ports formed in the third skin, in combination with air reefing enhancers disposed on the device, whereby the device is both self-inflating and self-reefing upon its exposure to the air.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 1974Date of Patent: March 23, 1976Inventor: Stephen John Sutton

Patent number: 3938711Abstract: A self priming mechanism for a dispenser comprising a container attachment and a dip tube sealer. The container attachment may comprise a screw threaded cap, a mounting cup or any of the customary means to mount a dispenser on a container and includes an upper dip tube sealer housing which communicates with a dispensing structure such as a pump or a dispensing valve. The dip tube sealer comprises a seal collar movable between an open and a closed position. The collar has a dip tube tail upon which a dip tube is mounted extending downward through the container head space and into the product to be dispensed. The attachment and the dip tube sealer cooperatively form a feedback therebetween when the flexible collar is in the open position to permit air trapped within the dip tube during assembly to escape back to the head space. They also cooperatively form a pair of sealing surfaces therebetween to prevent flow through the feedback when the flexible collar is in the closed position.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 1974Date of Patent: February 17, 1976Assignee: Seaquist Valve CompanyInventors: Ronald F. Ewald, Raymond M. Konarski

Patent number: 3938628Abstract: A disc brake assembly of the type used primarily in an automobile or like motor vehicle environment and including a disc member attached to the wheel, and a lining and lining assembly disposed immediately adjacent the disc for frictional engagement therewith. The lining is interconnected to a lining support element in the form of a rotatable hub wherein the lining itself and the hub are rotationally and linearly movable relative to one another such that frictional engagement between the lining and the disc occurs when the disc and the lining are moving in the opposite rotational directions to accomplish maximum frictional engagement and accordingly, more efficient braking action on the wheel to which the disc is attached.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 1974Date of Patent: February 17, 1976Inventor: Antonio Casas Figueroa
