Abstract: The invention relates to a procedure for obtaining an isolated extract of the plant Cyclamen europaeum L. and to its use as a therapeutic agent. In particular, it relates to the use of the isolated extract for preparing a medicament for treating sinusitis. This invention also relates to a method for extracting the isolated extract by aqueous extration and by alcoholic extraction.
Abstract: Data sequence randomization encryption system such that having supplied data sequence (X) and randomization-encryption key (Kp) generates random data sequence (Yp), so that laypersons in encryption are able to measure objectively the diffusion and confusion of the generated sequence (Yp) with the particular randomization-encryption key (Kp) which has been used. Data sequence (X) is divided into blocks (XI), each block (XI) gets into group with transformer block (WTI), generated by transformer block generator (1002) by making use of control initial block (R) and previous output block (YI), resulting in grouped block (VI), result of the group, which is encrypted by means of the device in U.S. Pat. No. 5,214,703 (204), generating output block (YI) which is supplied to transformer block generator (1002), the succession of output blocks (YI) results in output randomized-encrypted sequence (Yp).
Abstract: A high performance, high capacitance gain, electric connector for data transfer applications. At least eight sequentially positioned elongate contact members are connected in a series of signal pairs. A first signal pair includes a fourth contact member and a fifth contact member. A second signal pair includes a third contact member and a sixth contact member. In addition, a third signal pair comprises a first contact member and a second contact member. Finally, a seventh and an eighth contact member are in a fourth signal pair. One member of each contact member pair is configured differently from the other member of the pair, the respective contact members being oriented relative to one another such that they substantially remain in generally parallel planes, but define non-parallel paths. Each of the third and fifth contact members mounts a plate-like extension oriented in a first direction and in respective planes generally parallel to one another.

Abstract: A seat structure includes a torsion bar 40 disposed along the width direction in the vicinity of the bottom end of a back frame 20, a pelvis supporting plate 50 is connected to the torsion bar 40, and a flat-type supporting member 60 for the seat back is engaged with the vicinity of the bottom end of the pelvis supporting plate 50 and strained. Slack of the flat-type supporting member 60 can be eliminated by the pelvis supporting plate 50 to enhance the appearance. Further, a vibration inputted from the seat back side, and vibrates as if patting on the back of the human body can be absorbed by an elastic force of the torsion bar 40.
Abstract: It comprises an inner wrapper which contains the food product, an outer package of plastic material which encloses said inner wrapper, a layer of a heat-concentrating material, arranged adjacent the inner wrapper, and a substrate attached to an outer face of said outer package. The layer of heat-concentrating material causes the opening of the outer package by melting a portion thereof, during heating of the assembly in a microwave oven, and the substrate prevents the outer package from sticking to the base of the oven. There can also be a sheet of insulating material between the inner wrapper and the outer package. Handling operations are reduced and the protection and optimum degree of humidity are maintained until the time the product is put in the oven.
Abstract: A method for fitting a tubular roll shell (2) of a roll (1) in a paper or board machine. In the method, the roll shell (2) is supported on a stationary roll shaft (3) by means of hydrostatic slide bearing elements (4a, 4b; 4a?, 4b?; 5a, 5b; 5a?, 5b?), acting on the roll shell (2) in radially opposite directions, at least in the direction of a plane co-directional with a first plane or a plane parallel to a primary loading (F) and in a plane substantially lateral to a plane co-directional with the primary loading (F). The slide bearing elements (4a, 4b, 4a?, 4b?, 5a, 5b, 5a?, 5b?) are loaded hydraulically by means of a pressure fluid.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for computing and regulating distribution of linear load in a multi-nip calender. A material web is passed through the nips in a set of rolls including a variable-crown upper roll, a variable-crown lower roll and intermediate rolls positioned between the upper and lower rolls. The rolls in the set of rolls are supported so that, when the nips are closed, the bending lines of the rolls are curved downwards. When computing and regulating the linear loads, one or more of the physical properties affecting the bending of each intermediate roll under load, such as bending rigidity, mass, shape, and material properties, are taken into account. The ratio of the linear loads applied to the intermediate rolls, the weight of the rolls per se, and/or the support forces applied to the rolls are regulated so that the set of rolls is in a state of equilibrium and a predetermined state of deflection.

Abstract: The invention concerns a supply air terminal device (10) including side plates (12) and an air guiding part (13). A heat exchanger (14) is fitted in the device below a supply air chamber (11) for supply air in between air guiding parts (13) located on both sides of the central axis (Y1) of the device. In the device, the supply air chamber (11) includes nozzle apertures (12a1, 12a2, . . . , 12b1, 12b2 . . . ) to conduct fresh supply air into a side chamber (B1) and to induce a flow of circulated air (L2) from the room space through the heat exchanger (14) into the side chamber (B1). Using the heat exchanger (14) the circulated air may be either cooled or heated. The equipment includes a control device (15) for the induction ratio of the supply air flow (L1) and the circulated air flow (L2) for controlling in which ratio there is fresh air (L1) and circulated air (L2) in the combined air flow (L1+L2).

Abstract: The invention relates to a belt calender, comprising a first roll (11), a second roll (13; 15), and a belt loop therebetween, comprising an incompressible metal belt (12) pressed by the second roll (13; 15) against the first roll (11) to establish a calendering zone between the first roll (11) and said belt (12). The second roll (13; 15) is provided with a compressible belt section (14; 18) to be pressed against the metal belt (12).
Abstract: The present invention refers to compounds of the general formula (I), to their possible pharmaceutically acceptable salts and tautomeric forms. The present invention also refers to a process for their production and to their use as antidiabetic and *hypoglycemic agents, alone or in combination with other antidiabetic agents, such as sulfonilureas or biguanides, as well as for the treatment of complications associated to the resistance to the insulin, such as hypertension, hyperuricemia or other cardiovascular, metabolic, endocrine conditions, or other conditions related with diabetes.

Abstract: A caring doctor blade for a paper/board machine having layers of fiberglass and carbon fibers, and a caring layer as a rigid laminated structure, where the caring layer has carbon fibers and grinding particles in direct proximity to the carbon fibers. The orientation of the fiberglass layers is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the blade. At least some of the layers that contain carbon fibers. The orientation of the carbon fibers is substantially diverging from the direction of the longitudinal axis of the blade. A method for manufacturing the doctor blade for a paper/board machine by a pultrusion method is also disclosed.
