Abstract: This invention relates to preparation of polyamide-imide foam by extruding foamable composition comprising polyamide-imide and volatiles into a confined expansion zone, expanding the composition therein and cooling the result. The resulting foams are essentially open-celled and exhibit good strength, insulating properties and other desirable features.
