  • Patent number: 4059917
Abstract: A noisemaking toy, more particularly, a simulated firecracker is presented which includes an elongate hollow cylindrical body and an elongated cord extending from one end; a piston assembly located within the body attached to the cord; a compression spring is provided for driving the piston; and a cap detonating assembly is located at the remote end of the body, the assembly containing a trigger mechanism which extends within the cylinder in the path of travel of the piston; and a sound generating means for emitting a whistle is coupled to the piston; whereby withdrawal of the cord to retract the piston and compress the spring, followed by release of the cord, allows the piston to travel forward along the axis of the body at a controlled rate, providing a whistling sound for a predetermined interval of time followed by the actuation of the cap detonating means.

  • Patent number: 3999519
Abstract: Platform is provided with an opening in which a hollow cylindrical member is mounted. The cylindrical member includes an opening for admitting a small animal to the platform and carries a post on which a dome is rotatably mounted with its encompassing sidewall coacting with the platform to cage the animal. The dome carries food compartments depending to a position closely adjacent the platform. An opening in the bottom of each food compartment permits food to be dropped onto the platform beneath the compartment in a position such that the animal must push against the compartment to rotate the dome and expose the food.

  • Patent number: 3998187
Abstract: Revolvable, hollow spheroid has a pair of tubes communicating with its interior 180.degree. apart. The free ends of the tubes may be closed with caps to prevent the animal from escaping. A housing mount rotatably mounts the spheroid and serves as an access opening for an animal of the rodent type. The animal may rotate the spheroid by running on its inner surface or by entering one of the tubes. The housing mount includes a fitting for connecting the spheroid to a tube communicating with an animal cage.

  • Patent number: 3998460
Abstract: Two side-by-side tracks form a closed loop having a curve at each end; the tracks support vehicles each of which moves around the closed loop as a result of impulses supplied to it by an improved vehicle-propulsion device located entirely within one of the curves for manual actuation by a child-user, and characterized by a novel propulsion arm which tilts upwards into its operating position about a fulcrum in response to an actuating force transmitted by a flexible tape which also causes said arm to rotate horizontally about a shaft.

  • Patent number: 3992806
Abstract: An amusement device or toy is disclosed having a figurine positioned adjacent simulated toy machinery, such as a spinning wheel or potters wheel, with the machinery containing a rotatable component part or element. At least two spaced cam surfaces or lobes are included on the rotatable element. The arm of the figurine is placed so that the attached hand is placed proximate said rotating element so that when the part is rotated the cam lobes engage the hand of the figurine and undulates or shuttles the hand creating additional action for the amusement of the user.FIELD OF THE INVENTIONThis invention relates to an improved animated amusement device or toy.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONAnimated amusement devices of various types have heretofore been widely known and appreciated. In these types of devices means are employed to impart motion in toy machines and figurines to create action to interest and amuse the observer.
