Abstract: Non cross-linked modifiers for thermoplastic alloys comprising from 20 to 80% by weight based on the modifier of an interpolymer of ethylene and an alpha-olefin having from 4 to 12 carbon atoms grafted with an acid functionality, preferably maleic anhydride, having a Melt Index of from 0.3 to 100 and a density of 0.85 to 0.91 prior to being grafted and from 80 to 20% by weight of an ungrafted diene containing interpolymer derived from ethylene and an alpha-olefin having from 3 to 12 carbon atoms and an amount of a cross-linking component effective to provide cross-linking during subsequent melt blending with a condensation polymer having a melting point of at least 150° C.
Abstract: Provided are blends of linear low density polyethylene copolymers with very low density, low density, medium density, high density, and differentiated polyethylenes and other polymers. The invention also includes articles produced from the linear low density polyethylene and polyethylene blends described herein.

Abstract: Provided is a composition thermoplastic elastomer structure comprising (1) a first component comprising a first elastomeric component comprising an at least partially vulcanized rubber and a thermoplastic resin, (2) an adhesive later comprising a grafted random propylene copolymer and (3) a third component comprising a polyamide or polyester. The third component is at least partially adhered to the adhesive component, which is in turn, partially adhered to the first component. The structure has superior adhesive properties between structures. Also provided are articles made from the structures, particularly automotive weather seals, glass run channels, a noise attenuating device, automotive interior part, automotive belt, automotive hose, industrial belt, industrial hose, packaging material, construction material, decorative building material, and other consumer goods.

Abstract: In a process for producing a propylene copolymer, propylene and at least one olefin monomer selected from ethylene and alpha olefins having 4 to 20 carbon atoms are contacted with a catalyst system comprising (a) a catalyst precursor comprising an organometallic compound and (b) an activator comprising a fluoroarylborate anion represented by the formula: Ct+[B(Ar)x(R)n]? where Ct+ is a cation capable of extracting an alkyl group from, or breaking a carbon-metal bond of, the organometallic compound; Ar is a fluorophenyl group; R is a fluoronaphthyl group and each of x and n is 1, 2, or 3, with the proviso that the sum of x+n=4.

Abstract: A method for extruding transparent and/or translucent article is provided. In one embodiment, the method comprises providing a propylene-based polymer comprising propylene derived units and one or more dienes, the propylene-based polymer having a triad tacticity of from 50% to 99% and a heat of fusion of less than 80 J/g, extruding the propylene-based polymer in the absence of processing oil into an article; and then crosslinking the extruded article.
