Abstract: An improved Tomlinson Harashima Precoding (THP) communication system through special configuration of its feedback coefficients is disclosed. Improvement, in terms of THP system robustness against analog-to-digital (ADC) sampling phase variation, is achieved either by deriving feedback coefficients of the Decision Feedback Equalizer at worst ADC sampling phase or by inserting a Zero Edge Filter (ZEF) at the receiver. The ZEF modifies the communication system such that the feedback filter coefficients derived in the Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) mode and later used in the THP mode is capable to compensate the zero at Nyquist Frequency due to a non-optimum sampling, phase of the ADC. The THP communication system, modified and improved with the insertion of ZEF, is operable to switch from an adaptive Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) mode to a THP mode having an adaptive Linear Equalizer (LE) at the receiver.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hybrid Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) gene which is prepared by inserting an inherent or foreign intron between exons 4 and 5 in HGF cDNA, which has a base sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2. The gene has high expression efficiency and simultaneously expresses two heterotypes of HGF and dHGF (deleted variant HGF). Further the gene may be used for treating or preventing ischemic or liver diseases.

When a log-full condition is detected, the active transaction having the oldest log entry of all active transactions is identified and logging for all transactions except for the identified transaction is temporarily suspended. A dynamic transaction backout of the identified transaction is initiated, with the writing of a backout record for the identified transaction to the log being delayed. Confirmation that the backout has completed is awaited before trimming the log. Then the delayed backout record for the identified transaction is written to the log, and normal logging is resumed.

Abstract: Methods and systems for updating mosaics of digital source images are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a method for updating a mosaic of digital source images includes segmenting the mosaic to regions, generating a plurality of region-statistics where each region-statistics correspond to image characteristics of one region, organizing the plurality of region-statistics in a database, and updating the mosaic using at least one target region-statistics from the organized plurality of region-statistics. Updating the mosaic can include color correcting. The method for updating a mosaic of digital source images can also includes optimizing the organized plurality of region-statistics, wherein the optimizing is based on one or more reference region-statistics from the organized plurality of region-statistics.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer program products for the ranking of a target data set based on learned rules are disclosed. One embodiment is a method that includes generating a learned rule set from a training data record set, creating at least one prototype for each rule in the learned rule set to generate a prototype set, and ranking the target data record set using learned rule set and the prototype set. The generating of a learned rule set includes dividing the training data record set to a positive class and a negative class, and deriving the learned rule set for the positive class. Learning of rules includes deriving the most general projected rules with respect to remaining training data and then refining those rules, eventually selecting the best rules using an F-measure.

Abstract: With files secured by encryption techniques, keys are often required to gain access to the secured files. Techniques for providing and using multiple levels of keystores for securing the keys are disclosed. The keystores store keys that are needed by users in order to access secured files. The different levels of keystores offer compromises between security and flexibility/ease of use.

A first illumination beam is provided under an angle of incidence along a first horizontal direction. The intensity of a diffracted beam from the composite grating is measured. A second illumination beam is provided under the angle of incidence along a second horizontal direction. The second horizontal direction is opposite to the first horizontal direction. The intensity of the diffracted beam from the composite grating is measured. The difference between the diffracted beam from the first illumination beam and the diffracted beam from the second illumination beam, linearly scaled, results in the overlay error.

The multi-standard single chip comprises a GNSS radio and multiple non-GNSS radios such as Bluetooth. The full GNSS measurement is generated using GNSS radio frequency signals received by the integrated GNSS radio and communicated over, for example, Bluetooth radio. GNSS satellite reference information embedded in radio frequency signals received by the integrated non-GNSS radios is extracted to assist the full GNSS measurement. A full GNSS navigation solution for the multi-standard mobile device is generated internally to and/or externally to the multi-standard single chip depending on the location of a navigation engine.

The present invention can enhance waterproof property as well as quality in outer appearance.

Abstract: Methods and systems for higher power PoE are provided. Embodiments overcome system limitations to PSE power scaling by using an endspan-midspan configuration which allocates power to the PD from both an endspan PSE and a midspan PSE. Embodiments are particularly suitable for deployed PoE systems having limited power supplies and/or ports designed for lower power. Further, embodiments include power management schemes to enable the proposed endspan-midspan configuration to intelligently allocate power between the endspan PSE and the midspan PSE according to required PD power.
