  • Patent number: 8246295
Abstract: A pump for processing molten metal having an enlarged tubular body which houses a centrifugal pump at its bottom end. The bottom end has a parabolic shape which receives the ejected molten metal from the impeller and forms a vortex within the tubular body. The pump is controlled to cause the vortex to climb up the inner wall of the body up to and out of an outlet formed in the upper end of the body. A radial vane impeller is formed in the back plate of the impeller. When the impeller is rotated, solid particles introduced into the body are accelerated radially by the back plate impeller into the vortex.

  • Patent number: 8033792
Abstract: A centrifugal pump having a turbine impeller having a plurality of curved vanes. The vanes curve from the inlet end to the outlet end in the direction of pumping rotation of the impeller, such that the leading wall of each vane re-directs a portion of the radial velocity of the fluid flowing through the passage to increase the total tangential velocity provided by the impeller. Each vane includes a cavity which entrains fluid which slides back from a spinward passage and redirects the entrained fluid back in the direction of rotation.

  • Patent number: 7735401
Abstract: A cutting tool having a cutting portion located proximate to one end. The cutting tool including a recessed chip flute formed along the shank of the tool away from the cutting edge. The tool includes a chamfering cartridge which is clamped to the tool shank along the chip flute. The chamfering cartridge performs a chamfering or deburring operation while allowing chips from the cutting portion to pass through the flute and away from the tool and workpiece.

  • Patent number: 7727461
Abstract: A furnace filtration system for improving the speed and efficiency of a molten metal centrifugal impeller pump contained within a non-ferrous molten metal furnace. The system includes a filtration well located upstream of the pump well. The filtration well includes a filter having a plurality of through filter passages that are sized to prevent any solid contaminants that are larger than the pump's impeller openings from passing therethrough. By preventing any contaminants that cannot pass through the pump, the pump can be run at a higher speed. A furnaces efficiency increases with the centrifugal pump's efficiency increases with its centrifugal pump's speed along with the flow and pressure.

  • Patent number: 7673349
Abstract: A cap in combination with spectacles that are removably coupled to the underside of the cap's visor. The spectacles are pivotally movable from a first deployed position, where the lenses are disposed in front of a user's face to a second stowed position, where the spectacles underlie the visor. The pivoting mechanism is axially biased to provide constant pressure to hold the spectacles in substantially any position.

  • Patent number: 7603884
Abstract: The present invention provides a right angle track clip installation tool. The tool includes a pair of handles that are pivotally coupled together and a pair of crimping blocks that are coupled to the handles through ball joints. These ball joints cause the crimping blocks to project from the handles in a generally perpendicular direction. This handle/crimping block arrangement permits a user to install snowmobile track clips to a track without removing the track from the snowmobile.
