Abstract: A disposable dental impression tray for making impressions of edentulous dental arches with impressionable material is made of plastic or some other inexpensive material and includes a thin contoured plate having a contour approximating a section of an oral cavity of a mouth of which an impression is to be made. The plate has a impression side for holding impressionable material and an opposite backside. A reinforced edge runs around at least a portion or border of the plate and cross-bracing extends along the backside. A handle located at a front of the plate extends generally normal to and away from the backside of the plate and has a flat surface on a front and/or a back of the handle. Holes extend through the plate between the impression side and the backside and are located along the plate between cross-ribs of the bracing. The holes are flared outwardly from the impression side to the backside.

Abstract: A collapsible basket has a collapsible frame with a collapsible sub-frame supported solely by collapsible frame sides. Each of the frame sides has a single pair of first and second leg members having first and second upper and lower ends. The first and second leg members in each of the frame sides are not connected together so that the first and second upper and lower ends are unrestrained with respect to distance between them when the frame is collapsed. The first and second upper ends of each of the pair of first and second leg members are pivotably connected to the sub-frame at pairs of relative spaced apart first and second positions on the sub-frame such that the first position in one of the pairs of relative spaced apart first and second positions is the second position in an adjacent one of the pairs of relative spaced apart first and second positions. The first and second lower ends of adjacent ones of the pair of first and second leg members are pivotably connected.

Abstract: A hand-held power screwdriver with a clamping device is disclosed. The screwdriver includes a body, a screwing arm, a clamping arm, and a clamping device. The body is similar to an ordinary hand drill. A torque shaft, a part of the screwing arm, is connected to the body at one end, and it has a socket for a self-drilling screw at the other end. The clamping arm is movably connected to the body, and it has a clamping head at one end. The clamping device will clamp two or more members between the screw and the clamping head during the screw driving process.

Abstract: A piano keyboard apparatus has an action assembly that includes a four bar linkage having four pivotably connected bars including a whippen pivotably connected to a repetition lever. An articulated jack has a lower link pivotably connected to an upper link and the lower link is pivotably connected to the whippen.

Abstract: A room air filter apparatus includes a multi-sided housing having longitudinally spaced first and second ends, a plurality of sides between the first and second ends, and a plenum inside the housing. Each of the sides has an empty space frame by outer edges of the housing side. A fan is mounted to the housing and is operably disposed, preferably, within the plenum to draw air from the plenum and to exhaust the air outside of the housing. Filter panels are removably attached to the outer surfaces of the edges and filter material is mounted in the panels to cover the empty spaces. Magnets mounted on edges of the panels may be used as attachment devices as well as other devices for clipping the panels onto the outer surfaces of the edges of the housing. The filter material is preferably a self-charging electrostatic washable material.

Abstract: A filter apparatus for use in a forced air ventilation system, the filter apparatus having a first fan folded sheet of a washable first type of filter material, a second fan folded sheet of a second type of filter material, and fanfolds of the first and second fan folded sheets are substantially equally shaped and folded together such that the fanfolds of the first and second fan folded sheets are interdigitated to form a filter material assembly. The first type of filter material is preferably an electrostatically self-charging washable material such as woven polypropylene and the second type of filter material is preferably disposable and contains activated charcoal. The filter material assembly may be removably disposed in a rectangular filter frame for mounting the filter material assembly in the forced air system. The filter frame has at least one crank shaft rotatably disposed between two opposed side walls which are between an open front end and an open back end of the frame.

Abstract: A multiple-spindle machine includes a support and a number of spindles rotatably mounted to the support. Each of the spindles is operably connected and in driving relationship to a respective one of a like number of cutters, each of the cutters having two or more cutting edges. Each spindle is operably connected to an individually controllable electric motor. A controlling device controls the speed of each electric motor and the angular position of its associated spindle. A phase control device adjusts the speed and the angular position of each of the spindles such that the cutting edges of each of the cutters are out of phase with each of the cutting edges of others of the cutters during operation of the multiple-spindle machine. Angular position and speed detecting devices are used for detecting angular positions and speeds of each of the spindles. The angular position and speed detecting devices are in signal transmitting relationship with the phase control device.

Abstract: A method for making aggregate includes the following steps: (a) preparing a wet mixture by mixing water with a combination of ingredients in a mixer, the combination of ingredients including by weight about, 68% to 95% fly-ash and 2% to 10% lime; (b) dropping the wet mixture into at least one pile on a base surface; (c) allowing the wet mixture in the pile to substantially completely hydrolyze into a hard product; and (d) crushing the product to form the aggregate. Preferably, step (b) further includes forming an arcuate stack having multiple overlapping conical piles of the dropped wet mixture such that the stack extends a circular distance over the surface. The wet mixture may be transported from the mixer to a height above the surface and dropped to the surface by a radial stacker. The combination of ingredients, preferably, further includes by weight 0.5% to 12% alkali hydroxide and, more particularly, sodium hydroxide.

Abstract: An apparatus for heating plastic pipe includes an outer housing having distal first and second open ends and a diffuser plate mounted inside of and spaced apart from the top of the outer housing. An inlet extending through the housing is positioned for directing heated air to impinge on the diffuser plate. A mount positions the diffuser plate within the housing such that when the plastic pipe is disposed in the housing through the open ends of the diffuser plate does not contact the pipe. First and second end caps are disposed at the distal first and second open ends respectively. The end caps have first and second apertures therethrough for supporting and centering the plastic pipe such that the diffuser plate does not contact the pipe.

Abstract: A filter apparatus for use in a forced air ventilation system, the filter apparatus having a first fan folded sheet of a washable first type of filter material, a second fan folded sheet of a second type of filter material, and fanfolds of the first and second fan folded sheets are substantially equally shaped and folded together such that the fanfolds of the first and second fan folded sheets are interdigitated to form a filter material assembly. Abstract: A method is provided for manufacturing an encapsulated magnet carrier by forming a wax pattern of the magnet carrier with an annular conducting ring annular chamber section, placing the conducting ring over the wax pattern in the annular chamber section, and forming an investment casting shell mold around the wax pattern and conducting ring. The magnet carrier is then cast with the conductor ring in place by pouring molten casting material into the mold, solidifying the casting material, and then separating the cast magnet carrier with the cast in place conductor ring from the surrounding mold.

Abstract: A covered casing assembly includes a fabric member made of an elastic material, such as a Spandex containing material, that is stretched over a casing and having at least one opening surrounding an accessible feature of the casing. The fabric member may be in the form of a tube having two openings, one at each end of the openings at each. end of the tube. An aperture adjustment feature is provided for sizing and shaping an aperture in the fabric member. Such a feature may be tabs formed by slits extending into the fabric member from around a periphery of the opening and the tabs are bent under the fabric member between the fabric member and the casing. Another more particular embodiment of the invention includes symbols or a design printed on an outside of the tube.The present invention also includes a method for covering the computer monitor by stretching the tube over the casing and adjusting the opening to surround the screen using the features of the claimed assembly.

Abstract: An electronic keyboard key apparatus includes a longitudinally extending key pivotally mounted on a supporting base and a simulated hammer assembly including a simulated hammer mounted on a hammer shank that is independently pivotally mounted with respect to the key on the base. A jack means is mounted on the key for striking and pivoting the hammer assembly when the key is struck and a preferably flexible bridle for controlling the hammer assembly connects the hammer assembly to the key. A spring is connected between a back end of the key and the base for quickly returning the key to its at rest position. The bridle may be a flexible strap. The simulated hammer may be a metallic cylinder disposed about a first distal end of the hammer shank. A butt is attached to a second distal end of the shank and the butt has a butt end that is bifurcated to form two hinge lugs that are hinged to a single hinge lug of a lug mount fixedly connected to the base.

Abstract: A cap display for displaying a cap having a bill affixed to a fully opened crown. The cap display having transparent inner and outer shells which are shaped and sized such that the inner shell is smaller than the outer shell and such that the cap can be interposed between them with the cap's crown fully opened. Inner and outer crown portions of the shells generally conform to corresponding inner and outer crown surfaces of the crown of the cap. A shell securing mechanism for releasably securing together the inner and outer shells may be in the form of latching mechanisms disposed on an inner base on the inner shell and an outer base on the outer shell. The shells may include inner and outer risers between the inner and outer bases and the inner and outer bill portions so that a sign may be placed between the risers at front ends of the bill portions.

Abstract: A magnet carrier includes a single piece integrally cast cage with a cast in place ferrous conducting ring circumferentially extending about a carrier axis where the cast cage has a generally U shape. The magnet carrier includes an annular axially extending base wall, an annular aft wall, or annular forward and aft end walls extending radially from the base wall, a conducting ring annular chamber that is bound by the base wall and the end walls, and a plurality of circumferentially located compartments that are bound by the annular chamber and the end walls. The ferrous conducting ring is disposed in the chamber within the cage was cast around the ring. Magnet means are disposed in each of the compartments and an annular sheathing is positioned over the compartments and bonded to the carrier such that the chamber and the compartments are hermetically sealed.

Abstract: A spool assembly upon which can be wound a sheet of material. The spool assembly having at least two tubes, each of the tubes having an annular tube wall with a tube slot along an entire length of the tube wall. The tubes are disposed in opposite ends of a connector, each in annular spaces between radially inner and outer annular connector walls of the connector. A more particular embodiment provides a solar pool cover assembly having a solar pool cover with a flexible sheet having bubbles and secured to the spool assembly. The tube slots have a gap that is sufficiently smaller than a height of the bubbles such that the bubbles cannot pass through the slots.

Abstract: A pressure differential indicating apparatus has a wall duct with first and second ends, first and second flange like mounting plates respectively disposed around and attached to the first and second ends, a low speed airflow indicator mounted at one of the ends on a side of the mounting plate opposite that to which the wall duct is mounted, and a fire damper with a closable fire damping door that is disposed in the duct. The fire damper includes an actuation device for keeping the door open until the actuation device is caused to close the door. One particular embodiment of the actuation apparatus has a spring counter loaded solenoid that keeps the door open when energized and a spring operably connected to the solenoid so as to close the door when the solenoid is de-energized.

Abstract: An electronic keyboard key apparatus to simulate the feel of escapement includes a longitudinally extending key preferably pivotally mounted on a supporting base, a spring apparatus flexibly disposed between the base and the key for resisting depression of the key with a variable resistive force, a latching apparatus to latch the spring apparatus in connection to the base, and an unlatching apparatus to unlatch the spring apparatus from connection to the base with a predetermined amount of resistive force. The latching apparatus may be a magnetic apparatus disposed between the base and the spring apparatus having one of a magnetic element and a magnetically attracted element fixedly connected to the base and the other fixedly connected to the key.
