  • Patent number: 4525894
Abstract: A handle for a single-control mixer valve, having an outer control lever and an inner actuating lever connected together by an inner connection member fastened to the inner actuating lever and provided with a threaded bore. A cap is mounted onto the connection member and a bore located so as to correspond to the threaded bore of the connection member. A fastening screw integral with the control lever, is screwed into the threaded bore of the connection member and fixes to both the control lever and the cap to the connection member. The cap is provided with a seat to receive an ornamental element made of natural or imitation onyx, sodalite or other valuable material, which results in being easily replaceable. The parts are fastened together with no visible fasteners and ensure an easy disassembly for reaching the inner parts of the valve for repair, disassembly or maintenance purposes.

  • Patent number: 4526506
Abstract: A radial fan has airfoil-like, backwardly curved blades placed between a support plate and a cover plate. The blades are so formed that the blade entry angle on the cover plate side is 4.degree. to 7.degree. smaller than the blade entry angle on the support plate side and the blade exit angle on the cover plate side is 3.degree. to 6.degree. smaller than the blade exit angle on the support plate side. The blade entry angle on the cover plate side is between 14.degree. and 20.degree. and the blade exit angle on the cover plate side is between 39.degree. and 45.degree.. This form is produced by twist of the blades or twist-free deformation thereof.

  • Patent number: 4523604
Abstract: A diverter valve assembly includes a valve body rotatably mounted in a cavity of a housing. The housing has an inlet connected to a water supply, a tub spout outlet, and a showerhead outlet. The showerhead outlet is connected to a showerhead via a riser. The valve body has a jet orifice in communication with the inlet and alignable with one of the outlets. The valve body also has a flange which rotatably seats an elastomeric sleeve. The sleeve, when the jet orifice is aligned with an outlet, is aligned with the other outlet. The sleeve and flange form a pressure chamber which is in communication with the inlet. When the sleeve is aligned over the tub spout outlet, and the water supply is turned on, the back pressure caused by the showerhead flexes the sleeve to seal the tub spout orifice. When the water supply is turned off, the elastomeric sleeve relaxes to allow water to drain from the riser to the tub spout without the valve assembly changing position.

  • Patent number: 4501099
Abstract: A modular greenhouse has Y-shaped vertical support members connected to roof supports and horizontal supports forming a frame for sealingly adhering glass panes thereto. The roof supports extend from a central annular ring member which has a controllable vent member which can be moved between an open and close position at the center of the roof. In addition, two adjacent vertical supports can mount a standard storm door for entrance into the greenhouse. The modular greenhouse can be adjoined to other modular greenhouse sections sharing two common vertical supports. An entranceway formed between the two common vertical supports provides passage between the two modular sections.

  • Patent number: 4500020
Abstract: An article carrier for mounting on a substantially flat exterior surface of a motor vehicle. The article carrier has two slat assemblies fixedly secured to the motor vehicle surface in a spaced apart, parallel relationship. Each slat assembly has at least one longitudinal rib. At least two pairs of brackets are provided, two brackets being removably and slidably fastened to the rib of each of the slat assemblies. A locking mechanism depending from the bracket is provided for securing the bracket in a fixed position along the slat assembly by clamping the rib between the bracket and a clamping member. One rail is supported by each pair of brackets to extend transversely therebetween above the surface.

  • Patent number: 4493341
Abstract: A blower unit, designed for use for example with air-conditioning plant, has an outer housing with a first aspiration or inlet connection forming part of an aspiration duct for a primary volume flow, and a second aspiration connection forming part of an aspiration duct for a secondary volume flow. The outer housing furthermore has outlet or pressure connections joined up with the primary and with the secondary circuits for the supply of air thereto. In the housing two blower impellers are placed and the outer part of the housing has an adjustable distributor unit which may be moved into different positions of adjustment so that the volume flows incoming at the outlet side of the blower impellers may be directed by different adjustments to the pressure (or outlet) connections as may be desired. The outer housing has two separate spaces in which the two blower impellers are placed which are fixed in an axial direction. Each such blower impeller has an air guiding housing.

  • Patent number: 4458839
Abstract: A valve assembly comprising a temperature responsive servo-mechanism adapted to combine hot and cold water under pressure to produce a constant preselected temperature of water at an outlet. The valve assembly comprises a housing having a valving cavity, a hot water inlet leading to the valving cavity, a cold water inlet leading to the valving cavity, and a mixed water outlet passageway leading from the valving cavity. A valve member translates in the valving cavity and divides the cavity into two auxiliary chambers. A passageway through the valve member allows fluid to flow from each of the inlets to the outlet passageway at a rate that varies as the valve member translates. Passageways in the valve member permit a portion of the mixed water to flow into the auxiliary chambers. An auxiliary passageway is provided between each of the auxiliary chambers and the outlet passageway. A temperature responsive element is provided within the outlet passageway.
