  • Patent number: 7520567
Abstract: A vehicle seat arrangement is provided for a working vehicle comprising an operator's seat having an adjustable feature. A first control element is arranged such that a first work operative position is defined. A seat adjusting element is further provided for enabling the operator to set the adjustable feature of the operator's seat. The seat adjusting element is positioned relative to the first control element such that the operator may selectively control the adjustable feature of the seat without significantly interrupting the first work operative position or without significantly interrupting a transition from a first task to a second task and/or from a first work operative position to a second work operative position.

  • Patent number: 7520161
Abstract: A process and a test structure for testing the hermeticity of bond connections are described. Points are provided on the wafer pair to be connected, at which hermetically closed cavities are additionally formed upon the connection of the wafers, e.g., as they are customary in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). A pressure sensor structure and a structure are located in these cavities by means of which the internal pressure of the cavity can be changed from the outside, such as metal webs with narrowed cross-section which are built up in accordance with the principle of a fuse and, upon the generation of a current flow, melt or evaporate via the electrodes that lead towards the outside of the cavity. The chronological change of the changed internal pressure is tracked in a measuring fashion.

  • Patent number: 7518710
Abstract: A biological and chemical detection system is provided that detects and identifies biological and/or chemical particulates of interest. The biological and chemical detection system comprises a collector, a first optical device, a second optical device and a processor. The collector is configured to deposit particulates drawn from a fluid stream onto a sample substrate to define a sample area. The first optical device derives first data relative to at least a portion of the sample area, which is analyzed to determine at least one field of view and/or specific target location. The second optical device then interrogates the sample area at each determined target location, e.g., using Raman spectroscopy, to produce interrogation data.

  • Patent number: 7509982
Abstract: A fueling and associated vapor recovery system maintains the same, or lower, vacuum level in the vapor hose during ORVR vehicle refueling as that seen during a non-ORVR refueling. A valve assembly is made as either a part of the end of the vapor recovery hose assembly, a separate unit that is placed between the hose assembly and the nozzle, or incorporated directly into the nozzle. The valve assembly is biased to one position by a spring to which is attached a sliding valve member. The force of the spring is sufficient to keep the valve member in the original position when refueling non-ORVR vehicles so that the vapor hose is unobstructed and an air bleed hole is closed. When refueling an ORVR vehicle, the elevated vacuum level moves the valve member to a second position which blocks off the vapor hose from the vacuum pump and opens up the vapor hose to the air bleed hole.

  • Patent number: 7499167
Abstract: A trigger device for detecting particles of interest comprises a sample substrate, a collector, a read head and a processor. The collector is positioned proximate to at least a portion of a first side of a sample substrate and is operated to deposit a sample on the substrate within a sample area. The read head is positioned proximate to the sample area on a second side of the sample substrate generally opposite the collector and comprises a concave reflection surface having a back side positioned proximate to the sample area so as to register the substrate within the sample area with the read head. The processor is operatively configured to analyze a signal from one or more detectors of the read head and to trigger an event if particulates of interest are detected in the sample.

  • Patent number: 7490153
Abstract: A smart node is integrated with each Web service in a Web service application chain to automatically supply compatible features, missing functionality, and orchestration of the processes in the application, without coordination by an orchestration engine, in an embodiment. A smart node is a software program that systematically specifies the communications dimensions, functionality, and orchestration required for interoperability among Web services. The communications parameters, backup functionality, and process orchestration required for the Web services in a Web service application may be predetermined and programmed into smart nodes. The smart nodes are subsequently integrated with the Web services in a Web service application so that communications among the Web services occur first through the smart nodes. The smart nodes can thus supply communications parameters, any missing functionality, and dynamic process orchestration based on the current event context of the Web service application.

  • Patent number: 7487173
Abstract: A data warehouse is generated by incorporating data warehouse information in business objects to provide subscribed business objects and generating star-schema tables of the data warehouse from the subscribed business objects. Data from subscribed business objects may be logged when an event of the subscribed business objects is processed, for example, by an integration node, and the logged data incorporated into the star-schema tables of the data warehouse.

  • Patent number: 7480705
Abstract: The invention is a method and apparatus for facilitating load balancing in a server farm. In accordance with the invention, all of the information about each server necessary for a load balancing program to define and execute a load balancing algorithm is stored at a predetermined URL or each server. The load balancer can query the predefined URL, which returns the necessary information. The load balancer then dynamically configures the load balancing algorithm in accordance with the returned information.

  • Patent number: 7475051
Abstract: An efficient organizer of companion guide rules is created by a validation application from the common set of rules among an industry's implementation guide and the rulebooks, such as companion guides of one or more entities, such as payers. The organizer of companion guide rules creates an inventory of all rules and a profile for each companion guide and stores each profile in metadata storage. Each profile contains pointers to code in the inventory for all the rules employed by the corresponding companion guide. After an EDI document reaches the validation application, a runtime checker engine checks metadata storage for a current rule set for the payer. A rule set is created the first time a profile is accessed during the validation process and whenever the profile is updated. The runtime checker engine attempts to validate the EDI document by comparing it to the current rule set for a payer's companion guide.

  • Patent number: 7461039
Abstract: A semantic database transaction monitor is provided that monitors database transactions by taking advantage of database replication technology. The invention receives one or more event streams of transaction data from one or more database replication software agents, originally from transaction logs, and then classifies each transaction, utilizing an inference engine populated with one or more source ontologies and a canonical ontology so that transaction metadata are normalized. The invention then can be utilized to create a data store across multiple databases for reporting and analysis. The invention can also be used to feed normalized database transactions to real-time graphics software for real-time reporting or alerting. Because the process obtains data from event streams, it does not significantly drain the resources of the databases and can provide virtually real-time monitoring. Moreover, it does not require recoding for updates to the databases, but only changes to the ontologies read at runtime.

  • Patent number: 7461044
Abstract: Classifying a message includes receiving a message to be classified, wherein the message includes a message identifier. If the message identifier uniquely maps to a corresponding classification category, the message is labeled with the identified classification category. If the message identifier does not map directly to a corresponding classification category, the message to be classified is parsed and a plurality of features from the parsed message are identified, wherein at least one classification rule is compared to the plurality of features. Each classification rule that matches to the plurality of features is rated and a classification category is identified from the rating, wherein the message is labeled with the identified classification category.

  • Patent number: 7450051
Abstract: A radar detector is operated to suppress nuisance radar alerts by identifying a first signal in radar band of interest, e.g., having a frequency that is a harmonic of a first nuisance local oscillator frequency leaked from a nearby radar detector and identifying a second signal having a frequency that is a harmonic of a second nuisance local oscillator frequency leaked from the radar detector where the first and second local oscillators are companion signals. A detector is also provided that suppresses nuisance radar alerts by detecting a first signal in a radar band, providing a first alert designating the detection of the first signal, determining that the first signal is a nuisance signal, providing a second alert designating that the first signal is a false alarm, and turning off the second alert after a predetermined period.
