Abstract: Isocyanate functional polymers useful as crosslinking agents or as moisture curing polymers, which comprise the addition polymerization reaction product of:(a) 1 to 100% by weight of at least one isocyanate functional ethylenically unsaturated monomer which comprises the reaction product obtained by the gradual addition of an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having a single active hydrogen to a diisocyanate selected from the group consisting of isophorone diisocyanate and 2,4 toluene diisocyanate wherein the final molar ratio of active hydrogen containing monomer to diisocyanate is essentially 1 to 1; and(b) 0 to 99% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer which is free of active hydrogen functionality and which is copolymerizable with the ethylenically unsaturated isocyanate functional monomer.

Abstract: This invention relates to coating compositions which comprise a polymer having at least two hydroxy functional groups and a crosslinking agent having an average of at least two pendent ester groups of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen, alkyl, substituted alkyl or aryl groups; n is from about 1 to about 5; X is nitrogen, sulfur or phosphorus; and when X is either nitrogen or phosphorus, R.sup.3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, or an aryl group; R.sup.4 is lower alkyl or an aryl group; and when X is sulfur, R.sup.4 is nothing and R.sup.3 is either hydrogen, lower alkyl or aryl.
Abstract: An aerosol can containing a liquid propellant is placed on a can support platform (44). An operator actuated fluid control switch (84) provides pneumatic fluid or compressed air to a pneumatic cylinder (46) which continuously biases the aerosol can upward into engagement with a reservoir outlet (66) of a liquid reservoir (60). A sensing switch (52) senses movement of the can support, hence, the aerosol can. An operator actuated start valve (92) enables compressed air to be supplied cyclically (78a, 78b, 96) to a pump pneumatic cylinder (70). A pump (74) driven by the cylinder cycles a preselected number of times as counted by counter (90) to pump a preselected amount of liquid from the reservoir through the reservoir outlet and into the aerosol can.
Abstract: Air-drying, water-reducible, acid-functional polyurethanes are obtained by reacting:(i) a 2-oxazoline containing adduct having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is the aliphatic fatty acid residue from a fatty acid R.sub.1 COOH; and(ii) a diisocyanate; and(iii) an acid-functional compound which also has two active hydrogen groups, other than acid groups, which are reactive with the diisocyanate.
Abstract: A process for coating polycarbonate substrates with UV curable coatings comprising cooling the UV curable coating to a temperature of below 40.degree. F., maintaining the dew point of the surrounding atmosphere such that essentially no moisture condenses on the substrate, applying the cooled coating to the substrate and curing the coating to the substrate with ultraviolet radiation.
Abstract: A package for displaying and dispensing cards, including a front panel and a rear panel forming a recess therebetween in which cards may be placed. The front panel has an opening therein through which the cards may be seen and through which a finger may touch and push on the card. A resilient biasing means is placed in the recess at a position between the cards firmly in the recess. A cam surface is formed along the edge of the recess with the opening so that when the card is pushed toward the opening, a single card engages the cam surface and part of it moves out of the recess so that it may be readily grasped and removed from the recess.
Abstract: Pigmented high solid coating compositions are produced with reduced viscosities by the addition of at least one silane and at least one titanate.
Abstract: Detergent compositions suitable for use in automatic dishwashing machines are disclosed. The compositions contain detergency builder materials, a chlorine bleach component, an optional low-foaming, bleach-stable surfactant and a relatively water-soluble stilbene dye which is color-stable with respect to said chloride bleach component and which does not stain dishes etc.
