  • Patent number: 6212407
Abstract: A transmitter is provided in a base station which communicates with a mobile station of a high-speed communication user and a mobile station of a low-speed communication user according to a spread spectrum system. The transmitter includes a first antenna having a wide directivity, a second antenna having a directivity narrower than that of the first antenna, a first transmission unit for transmitting a first transmission signal from the first and second antennas to the mobile station of the low-speed communication user, and a second transmission unit for transmitting a second transmission signal from the second antenna to the mobile station of the high-speed communication user.

  • Patent number: 6164838
Abstract: An optical fiber module for facilitating changing part of an existing electrical signal transmission system to an optical transmission system. The fiber module includes an electric connector, a laser diode (LD) semiconductor IC, an LD module, a photodiode (PD) semiconductor IC, a PD module, an optical connector, a printed circuit board, a cover, and a shielding portion. In one embodiment, the printed circuit board has a constricted portion between first and second areas of the cover. In another embodiment, the circuit board is flexible and can be folded at a central portion. The optical fiber module is easily attachable and detachable from the outside of a computer without requiring a mother board to have optical fibers mounted thereon.

  • Patent number: 6128329
Abstract: A high frequency signal received by an antenna is converted into a base-band signal through frequency conversion and quadrature detection in a radio circuit. Through search processing of the base-band signal in a timing control circuit, timings for a plurality of paths are detected, whereby first and second replica code timing indicating signals, a timing pulse, and first and second delay time indicating signals are generated. In first and second replica code generators, first and second replica codes are generated at timings indicated by the first and second replica code timing indicating signals, respectively. In first and second correlators, a correlation value of the base-band signal and the first replica code and a correlation value of the base-band signal and the second replica code are determined, respectively. In first and second synchronous detectors, output signals of the first and second correlators undergo synchronous detections, respectively, whereby first and second symbols are outputted.

  • Patent number: 5978203
Abstract: An electronic part such as a ceramic capacitor and a resistor used in various kinds of electric appliances has an apprehension that an electronic part element might be red-heated to be burnt when an abnormal current flows in spite of dielectric covering member, and therefore it has been impossible to supply a nonflammable electronic part having a stabilized performance. In the present invention, an electronic part is constructed such that since an electronic part element 8 such as a condenser or a resistor is put in a case 5 which in turn is nearly sealed to cut off the supply of oxygen, the electronic part is prevented from catching fire even if it generates heat, and since an opening 6 is formed in a portion of the case 5 or a sealing member 7 so as to allow the gas to be let out, when the electronic part generates heat to increase the pressure, the case 5 can be prevented from being ruptured. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a nonflammable electronic part having stabilized characteristics.
