  • Patent number: 7295028
Abstract: The present invention provides a semiconductor integrated circuit capable of testing a high-speed memory at the actual operation speed of the memory even when the operation speed of the built-in self-test circuit of the integrated circuit is restricted. In order to test a memory operating on a first clock, the integrated circuit is provided with a first test pattern generation section, operating on a second clock, for generating test data, and a second test pattern generation section, operating on a third clock, the inverted clock of the second clock, for generating test data. Furthermore, the integrated circuit is provided with a test data selection section for selectively outputting either the test data output from the first test pattern generation section or the test data output from the second test pattern generation section depending on the signal value of the second clock, thereby inputting the test data to the memory as test data.

  • Patent number: 7295134
Abstract: An aircraft terrain avoidance method and device may employ a collision warning section that transmits a caution signal when the aircraft risks colliding with the terrain at the end of a first predetermined period of time. A warning signal is transmitted when the aircraft risks colliding with the terrain at the end of a second predetermined period of time, which is shorter than the first predetermined period of time. A piloting system causes the aircraft to automatically climb with a first gradient corresponding to a predetermined value upon the transmission of the caution signal. An automatic pilot is engaged automatically, if currently disengaged, to force the aircraft to climb with a second gradient, corresponding to the maximum gradient possible in the current flight conditions of the aircraft, upon the transmission of the warning signal.

  • Patent number: 7295575
Abstract: A packet transmission apparatus and method may divide data into a plurality of packets and transmit the packets. At a transmitting end, a context identifying number, identifying a data stream, is selected based on a relationship between a sequence number of a packet that is to be transmitted and a sequence number in an immediately preceding packet. A sequence number denoting an order of a packet divided on a per context basis is compressed, and transmission data assigned to the context identifying number with the compressed sequence number is transmitted on a per packet basis. At the receiving end, the compressed sequence number is decompressed on a per context basis. The context is separated based on the context identifying number, and data is combined by reassembling a packet into the order of a decompressed sequence number.

  • Patent number: 7292926
Abstract: It is claimed that statements regarding cylinder pressure are obtained for optimization of the combustion process in internal combustion engines. The internal combustion engine is modeled with a plurality of model parameters (1 to 5) for this purpose. Once it has been acquired, a model alternating torque (MW) is compared to an actual alternating torque (IW). The model parameters are modified in accordance with the result of the comparison. The model yields realistic values of the combustion chamber value on the basis of the modified model parameters.

  • Patent number: 7292862
Abstract: An assignment section 101 determines communication resource assignment to communication terminals based on a transmission rate at which communication is possible for each subcarrier of each communication terminal, and instructs a buffer section 102 to output forward transmission data. In addition, the assignment section 101 instructs a frame creation section 103 to perform forward transmission data symbolization, and also outputs a signal indicating communication resource assignment to each communication terminal. The buffer section 102 holds forward transmission data, and outputs forward transmission data to the frame creation section 103 in accordance with instructions from the assignment section 101. The frame creation section 103 symbolizes a resource assignment signal and transmission data to create a frame, which it outputs to a spreading section 104.

  • Patent number: 7289474
Abstract: An eigen value expansion section 103 calculates eigen values and eigen vectors in a correlation matrix or covariance matrix of input signals. When the ratio between a maximum eigen value and other eigen values is equal to or lower than a threshold, an assignment method selection section 104 selects a code assignment method whereby systematic bits are transmitted with their respective eigen vectors. As a result, a communication apparatus 100 transmits a systematic bit X with the respective eigen vectors. On the other hand, when the ratio between a maximum eigen value and other eigen values is greater than the threshold, the assignment method selection section 104 selects a code assignment method whereby systematic bits are transmitted with only the eigen vector having the maximum eigen value. As a result, the communication apparatus 100 transmits the systematic bit X with only the eigen vector having the maximum eigen value.

  • Patent number: 7286001
Abstract: The first terminals of a plurality of resistor elements are connected to the intermediate connection points of a plurality of FETs connected in series, and a voltage, having a phase opposite to that of the voltage applied to the gate terminals of the plurality of FETs, is applied to the second terminals of the plurality of resistor elements. With this configuration, the potentials at the intermediate connection points of the plurality of FETs connected in series can be prevented from lowering. As a result, the power that can be handled can be increased. Furthermore, since the potentials at the intermediate connection points of the plurality of FETs connected in series can be prevented from lowering, the deterioration of the distortion characteristic and the isolation characteristic owing to the lowering of the potentials at the intermediate connection points of the plurality of field-effect transistors connected in series is prevented, and excellent high-frequency characteristics are obtained.
