  • Patent number: 8097359
Abstract: A rapid exchange battery construction is applied in a battery module of an electric device to supply power. The battery module is pivoted with a rotatable handle, a catching member is disposed on the handle, and a fixing structure is erected on a base of a battery assembly structure. A pressing portion and a releasing opening are disposed at a top edge of the fixing structure. The handle is rotated to a gripping position for lifting the battery module to install the battery module on the base along the fixing structure, and then, the handle is rotated to a withdrawal position to move the catching member to the pressing portion. The battery structure is designed in such a manner that the battery module is secured and fixed on the base, and an electrical connection relationship between the battery module and the electric device is ensured.

  • Patent number: 8068327
Abstract: A holding device for encased capacitors used for electric drive engineering. The inventive holding device comprises integrateable and separable lower and top holding parts. Axially protruded retaining clamps are arranged on the top holding part around each encased capacitor. The lower holding part comprises an opening for the respective capacitor and each opening is surrounded with a sealing lip. The retaining clamps are pressed against the capacitors by the internal surface of the lower holding part. Sections protruded from the respective openings of the lower holding part are embodied in the form of the capacitor sections freely extending directly to a cold air flow of a device. The sealing lip is sealingly placed on the external wall of each encased capacitor in such a way that the penetration of solid or liquid materials inside the lower holding part is prohibited, thereby preventing a high IP protection degree.

  • Patent number: 8069181
Abstract: An autodiscovery feature with an easy-to-use interface is provided to automatically collect metadata about electronic services for use within a business enterprise and to store that metadata in a metadata repository. The autodiscovery feature is used to create autodiscovery queries that are sent to electronic services to collect from the services' digests specified metadata useful for identifying the functionality of those services and integrating the services into business processes. Digests, such as RSS feeds and Atom feeds, are typically created by services to include useful metadata, such as the title of a service, the URL link to a description of the service, a brief description of the service, the publication date of the service, and other data. Autodiscovery queries can thus collect services' relevant metadata and store it in a business enterprise's metadata repository, so that the services' functionality can be quickly identified and used for business processes.

  • Patent number: 8065655
Abstract: A utility transforms a class diagram representing an ontology, such as a UML class diagram, into a fully-described, standard representation of an ontology such as OWL file. It may be based on Rational Software Architect (RSA) and its model transformation capabilities. The RSA transformation framework uses a Visitor-like pattern for iterating over all of the UML elements in a UML diagram. The framework allows the developer to configure ‘Rule’ classes that are executed when different types of UML elements are encountered. Each UML element is visited once, which causes each rule to be fired for each element type. Rules are configured for just those UML types that are of interest to the transformation, for example classes, primitives, properties, packages and instances. Each rule in the implementation is then written to delegate to a Registrar class, which has a method for building the ontology model from the registered UML elements.

  • Patent number: 8027851
Abstract: An eligibility and benefits (EB) personalization engine, metadata storage and a portal Web page are set up on a server. EB personalization profiles are set up and stored in metadata storage that specify, according to useful descriptors, personalized information that identifies the EB data of insurance companies that is relevant to particular health care providers. An EB filtering rules database is created to store the filtering rules of multiple insurance companies, where the rules are categorized by the same descriptors used in the EB personalization profiles. After receiving a provider's specific request for an insurance company's EB data for a patient's treatment, the EB personalization engine receives the full collection of EB data from the insurance company, uses the provider's EB profile and the EB filtering rules to select the correct EB data for the provider, and sends the provider that selected data.

  • Patent number: 8015593
Abstract: A method for protecting a data entry device from eavesdropping includes masking a signature of entry resulting from entry of data by a user of the data entry device so as to reduce the detectability of the signature by eavesdropping. The signature may include a temperature differential in the data entry device from data entry by the user and the masking may include controlling the external temperature of the data entry device to reduce temperature differentials left in the data entry device by the user. Alternatively, the signature may include sound waves emitted from the data entry device and the masking may include masking sound waves emitted from the data entry device to reduce the detectability of the sound waves. A system may also be employed for protecting data entry to a data entry device from eavesdropping.

  • Patent number: 7989310
Abstract: Insulating trenches isolate regions of a semiconductor layer and include hermetically sealed voids. After forming a trench, a first fill of SiO2 is formed by a CVD process with the oxide layers having increasing thickness toward the upper trench edges forming first bottlenecks. The first fill oxide layers are then RIE etched to initially remove the oxide layer from the wafer surface with continued etching to remove the oxide layers in upper trench portions to define later sealing portions of the voids or to displace the first bottlenecks downward to define further bottlenecks. A second SiO2 deposition is then performed using a low pressure CVD process to deposit oxide near steps formed previously and/or at the displaced bottlenecks to seal the voids. The deposition process is stopped when the sealed portions of the oxide layer above the voids are grown above the semiconductor wafer surface.
