  • Patent number: 6993795
Abstract: A battery operated self-contained submersible liquid dispenser for dispensing discrete quantities of a liquid from a remote liquid reservoir is provided. The dispenser comprises a hermetically sealed walled housing containing a peristaltic pump driven either directly or via a speed reduction gear train by an electric motor in response to motor activation signals received from an electric control circuit within the housing. The pump includes a flexible liquid dispensing tube connected to respective liquid inlet and liquid outlet ports extending through the wall of the housing, a pump actuator for forcing liquid received via the liquid inlet port through the tube to the outlet port, and a sensor on or in the wall of the housing connected to the circuit. The sensor is adapted to sense a changed condition from a required parameter external to the housing, e.g.

  • Patent number: 6910895
Abstract: A motorized, radio-controlled practice fish for improving a operator's casting ability is disclosed. The practice fish can detect a lure in two different modes, active or passive. When in active mode, the practice fish responds to signals sent by a lure having an IR transmitter. When in passive mode, sensors within the practice fish respond to light signals emitted at a certain frequency and wavelength reflected from a lure back to the practice fish. An instructor can move the practice fish using a remote control device, or the practice fish can be set in one of several traveling modes.

  • Patent number: PP16575
Abstract: The new variety “EXCEL” pecan tree is an early bearing tree with fruit maturing and ready for harvest about the 1st week in October. The new “EXCEL” tree actually blooms out later than the popular “Stuart” variety yet this new variety actually produces mature nuts that ripen earlier. The tree displays a semi-dwarf type growth with small twiglets, yet the nut has the general size and shape of the “Desirable” pecan variety. The fruit has a thick shell and an excellent quality that yields about 51%. The final bloom is red and the catkins are long and thin. The tree has also shown to be disease resistant as well as insect resistant for the foliage. The foliage is somewhat sparse, which allows for better sunlight penetration and air circulation. On the worst of conditions, the “EXCEL” has shown no scab on the nuts. The tree is precocious (early bearing) as well as prolyfic (heavy bearing).
