  • Patent number: 4954032
Abstract: An anti-backlash nut having a pair of nut segments, each with an internal threaded bore adapted to receive a threaded bolt. One nut segment has a portion insertable within the other nut segment and interlocking means are provided to lock the two nut segments together. A spiral spring acts on both nut segments to bias them away from each other. The interlocking means permits movement of the two nut segments away from each other to keep the threads of the bores of the two in contact with the threads of the bolt.

  • Patent number: 4946157
Abstract: A mechanism for feeding sheets deposited in a container which has side walls, end walls and a bottom moveably mounted within the container on which the said sheets are deposited. An exit mouth is provided in one of the walls. The moveable bottom has slots therein and the container is provided with a flange to support the moveable bottom within the container. The container is mounted over an elevator so that the moveable bottom rests on the elevator in a raised position. The elevator and the moveable bottom which rests on it is lowered as sheets are added to the moveable bottom when the moveable bottom is lowered to the point where it rests on the support means. Feed wheels protrude through the slots in the moveable bottom and contact the lowermost sheet on the moveable bottom to move it out of the exit mouth.

  • Patent number: 4925180
Abstract: A feeding mechanism for stacking and moving sheets of paper and the like in which sheets are moved to a stacking area where they are held stationary and accumulate in a stack. The stack is released and moved away from the stacking area after a predetermined number of sheets having accumulated in said stack. The moving mechanism includes upper and lower transport belts transversely offset from each other which are in different vertically adjacent planes to cause the belts to grasp and move the sheets. The stacking area is located between a sheet recording mechanism to record the number of sheets passing thereby and a stop mechanism to prevent forward movement of the stack. The sheet recording mechanism comprises a deflecting unit and the stop mechanism comprises a rotatable stop wheel.

  • Patent number: 4922556
Abstract: An improved flushing means is disclosed for use in water tanks such as are for flushing toilets. The flushing means has a water inlet with an improved two-stage valve using inlet line pressure for operating the two stages. A float is movably mounted on the inlet for controlling the valve with a lever operatively coupling the float to the first stage of the valve. A cooperating vertical hollow and floating overflow tube including an adjustable bowl filling siphon controls the tank discharge to the bowl. These improvements to the tank discharge to the bowl are also to be incorporated into the commonly used flapper-type flush valve.

  • Patent number: 4836423
Abstract: The preferred package of this invention has a fluent or paste containing body portion with a pump, nozzle and cover combination mounted at its top. The cover is rotatably mounted on the body portion of the container so that it may be turned through a half turn from a nozzle closed position to a nozzle open dispensing position. The nozzle is coupled to a pump and cover so that the cover in its open position is pressed up and down moving the nozzle and pump in a pumping motion for dispensing the fluent from the container. An object of the invention is providing a container with a rotatable cover which is manipulated both for opening and closing the nozzle and for product dispensing.
