Abstract: A composite closure cap is described comprising a molded plastic ring and a separate disc-like cover. The cover includes a gasket for sealing. Tapered friction surfaces on the plastic ring and on the cover interact to provide for the control of the closure cap removal torque.

Abstract: An improved molded closure cap is described which has a softer sealing portion and a relatively hard closure engaging portion. The cap is molded using two differing plastics where the container engaging portion is molded of a softer seal-forming plastic and the remaining portion or shell is molded of a harder plastic. The novel molding apparatus and method employ plunger or die movement to facilitate a successive molding of the soft and hard cap portions without changing the molding plunger or die.

Abstract: A feeding mechanism for stacking and moving sheets of paper and the like in which sheets are moved to a stacking area where they are held stationary and accumulate in a stack. The stack is released and moved away from the stacking area after a predetermined number of sheets have accumulated in said stack. The feeding mechanism includes upper and lower transport belts transversely offset from each other which are in different vertically adjacent planes to cause the belts to grasp and move the sheets. The stacking area is located between a sheet recording mechanism to record the number of sheets passing thereby and a stop mechanism to prevent forward movement of the stack. The sheet recording mechanism comprises a deflecting unit and the stop mechanism comprises a rotatable stop wheel.

Abstract: A radio-controlled, battery-powered robot operator for interchangeable operation of battery-powered toys. The robot operator performs the operations performed by actual operators of actual vehicles and other machines, e.g., the operation of a gear shift lever and a steering mechanism.The robot operator is transferable from one battery-powered vehicle to another, and from operating a battery-powered vehicle to operating a battery-powered machine such as a battery-powered hoist mounted on a battery-powered vehicle.

Abstract: A mechanism for automatically feeding individual pre-cut sheets and stuffing a personalized letter or some other pre-cut insert into a personalized envelope. The mechanism has means to permit additional inserts to be automatically added to the envelope and to automatically seal the contents within the envelope. The mechanism will also combine pre-cut inserts and envelopes fed from different sources and form them into a completed mailing envelope.

Abstract: A surgical instrument having a suture needle guide at one end and an instrument gripping and guiding handle at the other end. The instrument has a general longitudinal axis. The handle is elongated and curved along its length away from the longitudinal axis to facilitate gripping and the needle guide has an exposed concave surface to underlie and guide the needle as it is passed into the surface to be sutured.

Abstract: An improved composite closure is described which has a cover portion which is at least partially plastic and a molded plastic ring portion. The molded ring also permits the cover to be inserted from the top of the ring rather than just upwardly over the ring threads and permits a plastic to plastic engagement or attachment of cover and ring.

Abstract: Apparatus for printing or decorating containers including generally rectangular containers with labels or other decoration and for operating at high speeds using two or more in-feeding lines of the containers. The containers are supported on rotatable holders as they are engaged by moving printing blankets of a multicolor printer with the preferred multiple feed lines and printing structures providing a significant increase in printing speeds.

Abstract: A dual expansion anchor comprising a pair of inner and outer expansion fasteners connected to each other by means of a screw-threaded connecting tie, said expansion fasteners being adjustable on the connecting tie to adjust to the spaced positions of an inner supporting structure and an outer supported wall. Insertion limiting means is provided to limit insertion of the inner expansion fastener into the inner supporting structure in order to fix the position of said expansion fastener in said supporting structure. Torque applying means applied to the connecting tie expands the inner expansion fastener. Torque applying means applied to a nut on the connecting tie expands the outer expansion fastener.

Abstract: A mechanism for feeding sheets having a feed belt on front and rear rollers. A singulator assembly overlying and in contact with the feed belt. An auxiliary roller interposed between said front and rear rollers, with the singulation assembly in contact with the feed belt at a point between the front roller and the auxiliary roller. The singulator having a pair of spaced side frame members, central pressure means between the spaced frame members, a roller rotatably mounted on each end of the frame members, and a belt surrounding the rollers and the central pressure means, so that sheets on said feed belt are fed one by one between the singulator assembly and the feed belt.

Abstract: For purposes of the stop of flow of water and the reduction of excess pressure in potable or sanitary water supply pipe lines, a Combination Stop and Pressure Reducing valve having one bonnet only. This combination valve, of the same size as the conventional stop valve now used in the plumbing industry, replaces the stop valve at its commonly used location and, simultaneously replaces the pressure reducing valve which is generally installed elsewhere in the pipe lines. A stop cock version is provided in which the pressure reducing assembly is contained within the valve bonnet which is, in turn, secured to the valve body for opening and closing by rotatable or longitudinal displacement of the bonnet.

Abstract: A tape measure having a recoilable tape mounted within a cartridge. The free end of the recoilable tape extends out of the mouth and has a finger-grip extending therefrom to permit the tape to be extended from within the cartridge through said mouth. A spring is mounted in the cartridge to permit the tape to be recoiled and retracted within the cartridge through said mouth and a shock absorber is located within the cartridge to absorb the shock of the retracting tape.

Abstract: An improved composite closure is described which includes a cover portion and a molded plastic ring portion. The plastic ring portion is molded by a new method with top tool core removal which permits formation of inwardly directed tabs or fishhooks on the tamper evident ring. The molded ring also permits the cover to be inserted from the top of the ring rather than upwardly over the ring threads, which is an easier and faster method of assembling a composite closure.

Abstract: A tubular protective device for storing golf clubs in golf bags which is adapted to rise above the level of the other tubes in the bag when a golf club is removed from the tube thereby permitting the user to readily locate the tube to which the golf club is to be returned. The device consists of an elongated tube to which is attached a spring which has a resilient restoration force which is less than the combined weight of the tube and the golf club and is greater than the weight of the tube alone.

Abstract: A mechanism in which a personalized letter assembly is printed with a name and a personalized insert assembly is printed with the same name and the two are united into an envelope and in which the insert may be either a personalized letter or a personalized card.

Abstract: An insert strip which is detachably insertable into a receiver strip so as to form a plate shelf to retain the side walls of the plate glass panels of a lampshade. A lower support which has a retainer ridge which conforms to the shape of the lower wall of the plate glass panel and retains the plate glass panel therein. The lower support also has a catch on either end thereof which fits into and is retained by catch holes on an injection plate. The injection plate also has an insert strip cavity and retainer walls which retain the insert strip and the receiver strip, respectively.
