Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting real time parental screening of a variety of different types of communications which may be directed to or sent from children are described. The methods and apparatus may be used with voice, text messaging and/or E-mail communications individually or as part of a unified parental control system. Parents can set restrictions preventing text messages, E-mails and/or voice calls being sent to or received from particular individuals, sources or destinations. In addition, parents can configure the system to support real time parental screening of individual communications, e.g., messages or calls, with the parent being provided a real time notification of an incoming or outgoing communication and the parent being provided an opportunity to control in real time the disposition of the individual communication.
Abstract: Files can be reassembled from fragments by (a) accepting adjacency scores for each pair of fragments from a set of fragments, (b) identifying header fragments from the set of fragments, and (c) for each of the header fragments, (i) setting a current fragment to the identified header fragment, (ii) selecting, from any of the fragments not identified as a header fragment, a fragment with a best adjacency score with the current fragment, (iii) determining if the selected fragment has a better adjacency score with any of the other fragments not identified as a header than with the current fragment, (iv) if so, then (A) selecting another fragment, from any of the fragments not identified as a header fragment, a fragment with a next best adjacency score with the current fragment, and continuing, and otherwise (A) adding the selected fragment to a reassembly path started with the identified header fragment, and (B) setting the current fragment to the selected fragment, and continuing until the file is reconstructed.

Abstract: A distance measuring sensor applied to the present distance measuring device has three pairs of line sensors and a control circuit arranged in the center thereof. In three pairs of line sensors, the central line sensors have a train of photodetector units and a train of processing units, to be divided into two, for processing output signals of the train of photodetector units. The upper line sensors and lower line sensors are arranged on the upper and lower sides of the train of photodetector units on the right and left of the center line sensors, opposed to the train of processing units. The upper and lower line sensors have the train of photodetector units corresponding to a length of two-divided line-sensor.
Abstract: An optical information storage material which can reversibly store said information comprising a polymeric material with a dependence of optical activity on temperature characterized in that the optical activity is substantially invariant at temperatures below Tg of said polymer, and variant at a temperatures at or near or above the Tg.
