Abstract: The invention relates to a method for uncoupling the support and removing a protective film from lenses during production. The method consists of: a phase comprising the weakening of the layer (5) of fluxing material, specific to a matching support (4), with the application of a hot fluid in order to soften same; the lateral projection of a jet (7) of pressurized liquid onto the support (4) in order to detach said support; the lateral projection of an orientable pressurized jet (8) onto the edge of the lens (1) in order to raise the protective sheet (3) to be found on the front face of the lens and to detach same fully from the lens; and the draining of the lens (1) in order for same to be delivered to an outlet tray.
Abstract: A control mechanism for the feed of a brush chipper is disclosed. A lower feed stop bar, located under a feed table, pivots on a pivot axis located below and toward the brush chipper from the control bar of the lower feed stop bar. The center of gravity of the lower feed stop bar, then, tends to pivot the lower feed stop bar away from the feed disengage position. Hence, nuisance trips due to vibration, impact of brush on the table, etc., are reduced.

Abstract: Bio-functionalized magnetic particles have a non-magnetic material matrix which supports core/shell magnetic elements composed from a ferromagnetic core material and a shell material. The shell material can be chosen either among an antiferromagnetic material, a ferromagnetic material of a kind different from the core ferromagnetic material or a metal material. By a proper choice of materials and dimension tuning of both the core and the shell as well as the amount and the concentration of the magnetic elements within the non-magnetic matrix, the bio-functionalized magnetic particles is tailored to exhibit an enhanced magnetic energy. When subjected to an alternating magnetic field, the magnetic particles exhibit specific rotational dynamics in correspondence with the amplitude and the frequency of the applied magnetic filed. Aggregation structures of the magnetic particles are controlled and manipulated by the alternating magnetic field.
Abstract: A conveyor provides a link between a combine harvester and a baler which is towed behind the combine harvester. The conveyor has a front inlet end positioned to receive trash flowing from the trash outlet of the combine harvester. The conveyor also has a rear outlet end positioned to deliver the trash to the inlet of the baler so that the trash can be baled without ever touching the ground.
Abstract: A method of fabricating multi-spectral photo-sensors including photo-diodes incorporating stacked epitaxial superlattices monolithically integrated with CMOS devices on a common semiconductor substrate.
Abstract: A suspension system for towed agricultural implements having at least one floating head of a first width suspended by a four-bar linkage of a second width wherein the first width is much greater than the second width. The floating head is permitted to float to accommodate variations in ground surface elevation in a lateral or transverse direction. By permitting the floating head to float, a more consistent cutting height is realized when ground surface elevation varies in a transverse direction. A main frame is provided to which the ground engaging wheels are attached. A sub-frame is connected to the main frame via the four-bar linkage. The sub-frame is pivotally attached to the arms of the four-bar linkage by spherical bearings.

Abstract: The aim the disclosed process is to ensure maximum precision both at the level of the manufacturing of an electronic assembly from a chip with small dimensions as well as the level of the placement of such an assembly on an insulating substrate. This aim is achieved by a placement process on a substrate, of at least one electronic assembly comprising a chip having at least one electric contact on one of its faces, said contact being intended to be electrically connected to a conductive track segment. The electronic assembly is built on a holding device which seizes and holds at least one conductive track segment previously formed and a chip. A placement device places this electronic assembly thus built at a predetermined position relative to the substrate and embeds or inserts said electronic assembly into the substrate.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for oral hygiene, in particular having an oral hygiene device similar to a WATER PIK® brand device which has a pump with an inlet port and an outlet nozzle. A reservoir is placed in a sink above a drain and below a faucet and water from the faucet is adjusted for temperature and flows into the reservoir and over and into the drain of the sink. A conduit is provided between the inlet of the pump and the outlet of the reservoir so that, in use, a person can first adjust the temperature of the water in the reservoir and then turn on the pump and use the oral hygiene device as with any other oral hygiene apparatus while either allowing the water to continue to flow from the faucet at the desired temperature; or, if desired, to stop the flow and put medication into the container before use so that the water and medication solution is used rather than just water.
Abstract: A method of avoiding hammer rod-hole deformation in a hammer mill. Conventional hammers are fitted with a bearing structure that reduces wear while permitting the hammer to pivot about multiple axes. An optional, integral spacer provides spacing between adjacent hammers.

Abstract: A chilled probe for quickly and conveniently cooling a liquid is positioned to permit a user to insert the probe into the liquid to be cooled. Feedback, in the form of an indication of a representative liquid temperature, is also provided to increase the value of the method and apparatus. Individual sleeves are conveniently provided on a roll to keep the chilled probe from coming into direct contact with the liquid, thereby avoiding contamination between liquid samples being cooled.
Abstract: A coulter or disc having a plurality of directional notches therein is used in one rotational direction for one use and an opposite rotational direction for a different use. The notches are selected from many arcuate shapes and sizes. The notches taper from sharp to dull from one end to the other, but in use one can chose to lead with the dull or the sharp end of the notches. A method of making and using such coulters or discs is described and shown.
Abstract: A hydraulically driven multicylinder diaphragm pumping machine has pump cylinders, each having at one end an inlet/outlet for fluid material to be pumped, and at the other end an inlet and outlet for hydraulic oil. A separator inside the pump cylinder is connected to the fluid-material end of the cylinder by a flexible diaphragm and to the fluid material end by another diaphragm, leaving an outer annular space that contains hydraulic fluid. The total volume of pumping hydraulic oil in the cylinders is maintained constant and by a device that compensates for thermal expansion and controls the necessary return flow of hydraulic oil for driving the pump. The separators move with an intake stroke at constant speed for all cylinders, and with pumping strokes function of the hydraulic oil delivery, so a lesser number of separators effect an intake stroke while a greater number of separators effect a discharge stroke.
Abstract: The present invention provides a modular ethanol production plant constructed of a number of identically sized modules each having a supporting structure main framework to which the components contained in the modules are attached. The plurality of modules includes a fermentation module, a distillation module, a ground grain module, and an optional heating module. Each of the modules are sized to occupy the same approximate space as a standard sized ocean going shipping container. Also, each of the modules has a central walkway including piping and electrical control boxes that are aligned for each connection to the next adjacent module.
