Abstract: A console storage housing for use in a sports type automobile such as a late model CORVETTE produced in the model years from 1997 to 2005 and beyond (Generations C5 and C6 CORVETTE). The console includes openings for storing numerous items carried into an automobile that need convenient and secure retention (i.e. eyeglasses, cellular phones, garage door openers, coins, maps, and beverages). The attachment of the console is accomplished in such a manner to not alter the automobile's original construction. The design utilizes the existing interior component surfaces for mounting. The console emulates the surrounding interior components' surface finishes so as to seamlessly blend into the interior of the automobile.
Abstract: In a round baler, twin arms come together in the start position, on the side opposite the cut position, because that configuration ensures that two twines lie nearly on top of each other to secure the bale much better at that end than with a single twine. The “start position” refers to that position where the twine arms reverse direction, and change from a fast speed of travel used to move the twine arms across the bale width, to a slower, controlled speed that is adjustable to vary the spacing of the twines. The change in direction combined with bringing the twine arms together at the start position, ensures that loose twine ends are effectively restrained as the twines are applied.
Abstract: Method and apparatus for X-ray imaging of a body, employing a support to receive a body to be examined, a source emitting a beam of X-rays, a detector irradiated by the beam, a converter for converting the detected intensities into data, a means for turning the mounted mobile support by an angle of rotation about an axis of rotation with respect to the source and the detector and a suitably programmed computer to average the data acquired for a pair of orthogonal angles of rotation to obtain n column and m line mean values for n and m elementary segments of a band of the detector, to construct an initial image (n, m) with the n column and m line mean values, to adjust the coefficient of attenuation in each n×m elementary zone by a method of least squares taking into account the n column and m line mean values regarded as constraints, to repeat the previous stages for data acquired with different pairs of preferably orthogonal angles of rotation, and to average term by term the adjusted images so as to arrive
Abstract: A plow blade having a fluid passageway and points of fluid ejection is produced with basic manufacturing processes allowing for efficient production. The blade construction has a multiple component assembly for providing the ability to rebuild a blade and replacing a portion of the blade that may be worn. In another aspect of the invention a process of ejecting a specific fluid at specific points along a plow blade the desirable characteristics are maximized, while the volume of ejected fluid is minimized. This method is adaptable in static plowing and vibratory plowing utilities since lubricating the sides of the blade/chute that come into contact with the ground with fluid has been found to greatly reduce the amount of drag (friction).

Abstract: Present-day harvest methods for sweet sorghum are labor intensive, and/or require that large quantities of matter be removed to a central location for processing. A field harvester for sweet sorghum would cut the crop and reduce it to its separated juice and solids in the field. A cutter/feeder unit cuts the crop off and feeds it into a multiple roller press where most of the juice is removed. An optional screw press may be used to further remove juices from the solids. The solids are filtered from the juice using an endless belt filter press unit. The pH of the juice may be adjusted by the addition of some acid to inhibit bacterial action. The solids may optionally be pelletized for use as livestock feed or for fuel. The juice is temporarily stored on the harvester in a mounted or pull-behind tank before it is transferred, ultimately, to a nearby storage/processing location.
Abstract: A transportable flamer, mounted on a tractor or similar, may be used to sterilize poultry litter, soil, concrete, etc. The flamer disclosed comprises a hood to contain the heat, an external frame, and burners. A fuel tank may be carried on the flamer or on a tractor or trailer in front of, or behind the flamer. An additional embodiment provides for mounting the flamer on wheels, permitting the unit to be towed by a truck, four-wheeler, tractor, etc. The burners are adjustable as to angle, and fueling rate.
Abstract: An apparatus having a tray, a towel rack and a handrail is provided for use with a spa of a type having a bottom with sidewalls extending upwardly from the bottom to form an enclosure for holding water. A base member is disposed on a horizontal floor below and adjacent to the sidewalls of the spa. A vertically disposed post member operatively attached to the base member and a handrail operatively attached to a top portion of the post member, the handrail being transversely disposed with respect to the post member. A horizontally disposed tray is pivotally attached to the post and a towel bar is attached to the post. Structures are provided for securing the preferred embodiment of the invention to a spa.
Abstract: This device comprises means for supporting a first and a second chamber, means for allowing these chambers to communicate with each other, and a movable member for applying a suitable force to reduce the volume of the first chamber. The means for supporting the first and second chambers comprise two tubular bodies, each open at one end, the dimensions of these openings being such as to allow these tubular bodies to be brought together and slid one into the other, a double-ended needle, with associated guide means, being interposed between the said chambers in such a way that when the said tubular bodies are slid towards each other, the respective ends of the said needle pass into the chambers and the volume of the chamber is reduced.
Abstract: A device for determining a refractive index (Rl) in a large number of points of a physical medium, comprising: a light laser for performing a series of p pulsed laser rays (PLRs) each proceeding from a starting point Ap and arriving in an arrival point Bp following the shortest optical path between the two points Ap and Bp; a timer to record a time Tp when each PLR reaches the arrival point Bp; and a computer programmed for finding the shortest optical path among all the optical paths starting from the starting point Ap and all reaching the arrival point Bp, and from p linear equations linking elementary optical paths (L) and the refraction indices (N) to the detected travel time Tp, for solving the matrix equation [N]*[L]=[T] relative to a vector of the refractive indices [N] and repeating until [L] and [N] converge.
Abstract: In a chain excavator including an excavation chain with links routed around a drive sprocket and an end idler with a base plate mounted to a link for supporting excavation implements, a stabilizing element extends rearwardly from directly behind the excavation implement in order to contact and be supported by its trailing base plate.
Abstract: A portable, collapsible artist's easel apparatus (10) including a framework member (20) that pivotally supports a compartmented receptacle member (40) equipped with at least one easel tray (45) that may be disposed in a cantilevered fashion relative to the receptacle member (40) wherein, a pair of extensible leg members (25) (26) are pivotally connected to the framework member (20) which is further associated with a pair of flange elements (60) (60) which are pivotally connected to a rear leg member (29) and a canvas support unit (13).
