Abstract: A projection height measuring method measures the height of a projection having a conical shape, formed on the surface of a workpiece. The area having the projection is imaged at an angle of depression. A projection area is extracted by classifying an area in the image into a bright area, a dark area and an intermediate area. From these, an area composed of the bright area and the dark area indicates the projection area, and the intermediate area indicates the work area. The length of the bottom surface diameter the length of a generatrix of the projection area are determined. The height of the projection is calculated based on the two lengths and the angle of depression.
Abstract: Disclosed is a thermally assisted magnetic recording medium comprising a substrate, a plurality of underlayers formed on the substrate, and a magnetic layer which is formed on the underlayers and predominantly comprised of an alloy having a L10 structure, characterized in that at least one of the underlayers is predominantly comprised of MgO and comprises at least one kind of a metal element having a melting point of at least 2,000° C., such as Nb, Mo, Ru, Ta or W. The thermally assisted magnetic recording medium has magnetic crystal grains having uniform size in the magnetic layer, and has a narrow switching field distribution (SFD), and a magnetic recording storage provided with the thermally assisted magnetic recording medium exhibits a high SN ratio.
Abstract: The present invention provides a conductive diamond electrode structure for use in electrolytic synthesis of a fluorine-containing material with a fluoride ion-containing molten salt electrolytic bath, which comprises: a conductive electrode feeder; and a conductive diamond catalyst carrier comprising a conductive substrate and a conductive diamond film carried on a surface thereof, wherein the conductive diamond catalyst carrier is detachably attached to the conductive electrode feeder at a portion to be immersed in the electrolytic bath. Also disclosed is an electrolytic synthesis of a fluorine-containing material using the conductive diamond electrode structure.

Abstract: The invention relates to a specific and novel use of a molding compound having the following constituents: (A) between 30 and 100 wt. % of a polyamide mixture containing (A1) between 50 and 95 wt. % of an aliphatic, partially crystalline homopolyamide or copolyamide or a mixture of such polyamides, and (A2) between 5 and 50 wt. % of a transparent homopolyamide or copolyamide or a mixture of such polyamides; and (B) between 0 and 70 wt. % of filling and reinforcing materials, and optionally auxiliary materials and additives. According to the invention, the molding compound can be used to produce a molded part for drinking water, especially a container or a line, in which, depending on the use, at least some regions of the processed molding compound are essentially directly exposed to the drinking water.
Abstract: Provided are method of storing broadcast contents, a method of displaying stored broadcast contents and an apparatus therefor. In method of storing the broadcast contents by analyzing the received broadcast contents, grouping the contents that are similar to each other, and arranging the contents sequentially in time, the method includes classifying a broadcasting signal received from an external broadcast contents provider into an unit segment of a first item, determining at least one keyword representing the first item that is classified into the unit segment, storing the first item as a sub-ordinate item of a first sub contents group according to the determined keywords, and arranging the first sub contents group including the stored first item sequentially in time, so that the progress of specific broadcast contents can be easily identified by each time slot.
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a receiving unit, a search unit, a determination unit, a conversion unit and an output unit. The receiving unit receives a command for forming an image. The search unit searches for color designation information that designates specific color information and is included in the received command. The determination unit determines a type of the color information designated by the color designation information found by the search. The conversion unit converts the color designation information into information conforming to a common expression rule, based on a conversion rule that is set for each type of the color information. The output unit outputs the information obtained by the converting.
Abstract: A filtering circuit with a jammer generator cancels a jammer in wireless signals with little degradation of the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The filtering circuit may include a jammer generator which acquires information of period and phase of a sinusoidal jammer signal in a composite input sinusoidal signal, which includes the jammer signal and a desired signal, and outputs a pseudo sine-wave with a period and phase corresponding with the period and phase of the jammer signal acquired, and an adder which outputs a difference between the input and output signals of the jammer generator as the desired signal.

Abstract: A method for redirecting communication requests made by user equipment (6,8) to an access point (2) in a cellular communication system is disclosed. The access point (2) has a shorter communication range than a macrocell in the system.
