Abstract: The bearing device comprises a bearing 4, a washer 5 and a coupling piece 6 that couples the bearing 4 to the washer 5 and/or separates itself from the washer 5 and the bearing 4 by a pressure force applied thereto, wherein the bearing, the washer and the coupling piece are integrally formed with each other, and the base flap 7 is formed with a projection 7b. Due to this construction, an operator can easily hold the bearing 4 and the washer 5 as one component, and as the coupling piece 6 can be readily removed by the projection 7b, a working efficiency for installing this device can be drastically improved, and the automated mounting operation thereof can also be easily implemented.

Abstract: Allyl alcohol and chlorine are reacted in a gaseous phase to efficiently produce dichloropropanol and, using the dichloropropanol so produced, epichlorohydrin is efficiently produced.
Abstract: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture for a computer implemented insert system. Data is stored in a database stored on a data storage device connected to a plurality of computers. At least one look-aside space map is allocated to each of the computers. At each computer, when data is to be inserted into the database, a look-aside space map allocated to that computer is identified, and a free data page is located using the identified look-aside space map.

Abstract: An ink jet recording head of the type in which a passage unit is formed as a layer structure made up of a passage forming plate and an elastic plate. The elastic plate is formed with a thick portion and a thin film portion. The thick portion bonded to the common ink chamber is used as a beam structure deformable toward the common ink chamber. The beam structure is deformed to create a flexure in a thin film sealing the common ink chamber.
Abstract: A data transmission cable having at least one unit of at least four conductors twisted into sets of conductors, which sets are quads or pairs, each conductor set being twisted at a pitch that is different from the pitch of any other conductor set, and each conductor being insulated by an insulating sheath. The unit being covered by at least one assembly structure, wherein the material used for the insulating sheath of any conductor in a given set of conductors has a relative dielectric constant that is different from that of the material used for the insulating sheath of any conductor in another set of conductors, such that the propagation time differences between the conductors of the set of conductors and the conductors of the other set of conductors is less than 2 ns/100 m.
Abstract: This invention provides a novel diphosphine compound which is useful as a ligand of catalysts for asymmetric synthesis reactions, particularly asymmetric hydrogenation reaction. Particularly, it provides a diphosphine compound represented by a general formula (1):
wherein R1 and R2 each independently represents a cycloalkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted phenyl group or a five-membered aromatic heterocycle residue.
Abstract: In order to improve ease of assembly and machining accuracy of a wire electric discharge machine, the present invention constructs a column and a lower support assembly to be separated, and configures the lower support assembly to have a structure integrally composed of a proximal portion having the same sectional shape as a sectional shape of the column, and a central projecting portion that projects from a center of a bottom surface of the proximal portion to support a lower arm. Furthermore, the lower arm is attached to the central projecting portion of the lower support assembly, while a Y-axis guide guided by a Y-axis guide rail of a Y-axis guiding mechanism, for example, is attached to the bottom surface of the proximal portion of the lower support assembly. Then the proximal portion and a bottom surface of the column are connected by bolts.
Abstract: An aromatic polyester having the following structural units, (1), (2), (3), (4) and (5), wherein the amount of the structural unit (1) is 30 to 50% based on the total of the all structural units, (2)/(3) is more than 2.78 and smaller than 4, (4)/(5) is more than 1.0 and smaller than 1.5, and {(2)+(3)}/{(4)+(5)} is from 0.9 to 1.1:
wherein Ra, Rb, Rc, Rd, Re and Rf each independently represents a lower alkyl group, lower alkoxy group, phenoxy group, phenyl group or halogen atom, and l, m, n, o, p and q each independently represents an integer from 0 to 3, is provided; and the aromatic polyester has excellent molding property and a molded article made from this polyester has excellent soldering temperature resistance and rigidity.
Abstract: Diaryl ether compounds useful in the control of weeds are described. An exemplary compound is represented by the general formula (I):
In this formula Q is represented by Q9:
X and Y represent a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, cyano group, nitro group or (C1-6)haloalkyl group. A1 and A2 are independently oxygen or sulfur atoms. R9 and R10 represent a hydrogen atom, a (C1-6)alkyl group, an acyl group, or a (C1-6)alkylsulfonyl group; or R9 and R10 may form a ring consisting of polymethylene, (CH2)m groups, where m is an integer of 2, 3, 4 or 5, together with the nitrogen atom of NR9R10, which may or may not have a (C1-6)alkyl substituent. Methods of making the compounds are also described.
