    Abstract: In a vibration motor assembly for use in, e.g., a portable phone, a weight is mounted on the output shaft of a motor and has a hermetically closed bore filled with a magnetic fluid. A magnetic body is disposed in the bore in the vicinity of the center of rotation of the weight. When the motor is not energized, the weight is held in a halt together with the shaft of the motor. In this condition, magnetic particles included in the magnetic fluid adhere to the magnetic body due to a magnetic force acting between the particles and the body. That is, all the magnetic particles are positioned in the vicinity of the center of rotation of the weight. Consequently, even a small torque, i.e., a small current can cause the motor to start rotating.

    Abstract: A mercury supplying method capable of always supplying a constant amount of mercury into a chamber part easily by executing measurement and ejection of the mercury at the same time. A small diameter pipe as a mercury supply path, is inserted through a glass tube elongating from a chamber part of an arc tube from above so as to have the tip part thereof substantially reaching into the chamber part, and connecting the upstream side of the sealed mercury supply path (mercury barrel) with a gas pressure adjuster. The gas pressure adjuster keeps the inside of the mercury supply path (mercury barrel) at a predetermined pressure so as to maintain the inside of the small diameter pipe in the state filled with mercury as well as applying a predetermined pressure to the mercury in the small diameter pipe for a predetermined time and thus ejecting a predetermined amount of mercury from the small diameter pipe tip part so as to be dropped and supplied to the chamber part.

Furthermore, the electric discharge lamp apparatus in which an arc tube is inserted into the opening of the insulating plug described above.

    Abstract: A miter guide for guiding a work piece along the cutting path of a saw blade or another working tool. The miter guide includes a guide bar which fits in a slot in the surface of a table, a fence for supporting the work piece, and a telescoping extension arm connected between the fence and the guide bar for fixing the position of the fence at a predetermined angle with respect to the plane of the saw blade. The fence is pivotally connected to the guide bar, and the telescoping extension arm is also pivotally connected to the guide bar, as well as being pivotally connected to the fence at an end of the fence remote from the guide bar. A broad based triangle is formed by the guide bar, the fence and the extension arm. The extension arm includes a rod that is slidably received in a tube, and a knob that is turned to push a deformable portion of the tube against the rod to fix a length of the extension arm, thereby setting the angle of the fence.

A separating claw mechanism is formed in a film passageway defined by the cassette shell, and separates the film leader from the film roll to guide the film leader to a film passage mouth. Guide projections are formed inwardly from the separating claw in the cassette shell, and press peripheral edges of the flanges to be spaced from the film roll. The film roll is released from the circumferential lips, while avoiding loosening of the film roll.

Switching is affected by inserting a test cell in the active system after a last one of the asynchronous transfer mode cell held in the active system, and placed in the standby system before a following asynchronous transfer mode cell. The test cell is first detected by the standby system and thereafter by the active system, at which time the next asynchronous transfer mode cells are sent from the standby system which is rendered into a new active system.
