  • Patent number: 6986098
Abstract: The present invention is a method and system for reducing miscorrections of data in a post-processor. In an embodiment of the invention, the system and method may compare a result of an exact match function and a metric for each row of a reconstructed data block to determine if a correction should be made. An algorithm for performing an exact match function may include a column parity check syndrome, a matched filter error syndrome, and an error mask of the present invention. If a result of an exact match function is an exact match, a priority of correction may be given to the row in which the exact match was produced.

  • Patent number: 6871249
Abstract: A receiver with initial offset for biased idle transmission line suitable for providing a programmable amount of initial offset. The receiver comprises a standard differential receiver and one or more initial offset modules. Each initial offset module includes a transistor and two or more switches, which control the amount of offset to the differential receiver. A first switch receives a digital signal, which programs the amount of offset and a complementary digital signal is sent to a second switch to control the addition of the selected initial offset module(s).

  • Patent number: 6769022
Abstract: A system for monitoring and managing devices on network comprising one or more managed devices connected to the network and storage means for storing a device management application program associated with each of the managed devices. The system further includes a management station which is in communication with each of the managed devices across the network, and the management station is in communication with the storage means. When a user wishes to monitor, configure, or manage one of the managed devices on the network, the user preferably selects the managed device to be managed and the management station retrieves from the storage means the device management application program associated with the selected managed device. By the management station processing the management application program for the selected managed device, the management station allows the user to monitor the status of the managed device, as well as change the configuration of and fix errors with the managed device.
