Abstract: A method of preparing a crystalline material, herein designated as SSZ-74, comprising contacting under crystallization conditions (1) a source of silicon oxide, (2) a source of another metal oxide, (3) fluoride ions, and (4) a structure directing agent comprising a hexamethylene-1,6-bis-(N-methyl-N-pyrrolidinium)dication. A method of preparing a crystalline material having a defined X-ray powder diffraction pattern, by (1) forming a reaction mixture having one or more metal oxides, one being silicon oxide, and a hexamethylene-1,6-bis-(N-methyl-N-pyrrolidinium)dication, (2) maintaining the reaction mixture at an elevated temperature until crystals are formed, (3) separating the crystalline material, and (4) optionally calcining the crystalline material.
Abstract: The present invention relates to new crystalline molecular sieve SSZ-74 prepared using a hexamethylene-1,6-bis-(N-methyl N-pyrrolidinium) dication as a structure-directing agent, and processes employing SSZ-74 in a catalyst.
Abstract: Gasses are separated using a molecular sieve having the CHA crystal structure and having a mole ratio of greater than 50 to 1500 of (1) an oxide selected from silicon oxide, germanium oxide or mixtures thereof to (2) an oxide selected from aluminum oxide, iron oxide, titanium oxide, gallium oxide or mixtures thereof.
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a lubricating base oil by: a) performing Fischer-Tropsch synthesis on syngas to provide a product stream; b) isolating from said product stream a substantially paraffinic wax feed having less than about 30 ppm total nitrogen and sulfur, and less than about 1 wt % oxygen; c) dewaxing said feed by hydroisomerization dewaxing using a shape selective intermediate pore size molecular sieve comprising a noble metal hydrogenation component, wherein the hydroisomerization temperature is between about 600° F. (315° C.) and about 750° F. (399° C.), to produce an is dimerized oil; and d) hydrofinishing said isomerized oil to produce a lubricating base oil having specific desired properties.
