  • Patent number: 8352641
Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying one or more Fieldbus devices in a control system are described. One or more messages from respective linking devices and including information associated with a plurality of segments for the linking devices may be received and analyzed to identify one or more segments to which at least one Fieldbus device is connected. A respective query message requesting information associated with connected Fieldbus devices may then be generated and communicated to each identified segment. One or more responses to the query messages may be received and utilized to prepare a listing of the Fieldbus devices that are included in or connected in the control system.

  • Patent number: 8347600
Abstract: At least one main air compressor makes a compressed ambient gas flow. The compressed ambient gas flow is delivered to both master and slave turbine combustors at a pressure that is greater than or substantially equal to an output pressure delivered to each turbine combustor from each turbine compressor as at least a first portion of a recirculated gas flow. A fuel stream is delivered to each turbine combustor, and combustible mixtures are formed and burned, forming the recirculated gas flows. A master and slave turbine power are produced, and each is substantially equal to at least a power required to rotate each turbine compressor. At least a portion of the recirculated gas flow is recirculated through recirculation loops. At least a second portion of the recirculated gas flow bypasses the combustors or an excess portion of each recirculated gas flow is vented or both.

  • Patent number: 8351406
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed that dynamically allocate communications resources in a wireless communications network, such as a wireless personal area network (WPAN). For instance, a wireless communications device may obtain a resource allocation. This resource allocation includes a time slot (e.g., a TDMA time slot) within a wireless communications medium. The device determines a first portion of the time slot in which it intends to transmit data. Also, the wireless communications device relinquishes a second portion of the time slot that occurs after the first portion of the time slot. Based on this relinquishment, a central controller device may reallocate the second portion of the time slot.
