Patent number: 4507952Abstract: A proving system is described wherein there is a cylinder and a moving piston within the cylinder having an indicator rod extending out of the cylinder and a cursor on the rod adapted to move relative to a scale. A jacket surrounds the cylinder to which liquid propane will be circulated in order to equalize the temperature of the prover system prior to proving a meter to be proved. Once the temperature of the prover has been equalized the temperature of the liquid propane by continuously circulating the liquid propane through the jacket, the circulation to the jacket will be shut off and test runs of the liquid propane through the meter can be initiated.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 1982Date of Patent: April 2, 1985Assignee: ICG Gasbec Inc.Inventor: Jean-Paul Mathieu

Patent number: 4498827Abstract: A fastening device comprises a base portion and a key portion, the base portion having a socket opening therein with a radial shoulder. At least an axial portion of the socket opening is in the form of a regular polyhedron, preferably 12 or 16 sided. The key portion has a furcated post, axial portions thereof being generally conformed to at least portions of the polyhedral socket. The post has a radial shoulder which snaps behind the shoulder of the socket to retain the key in position. As the key is rotated the post interferes in a periodic manner with the socket wall, thereby precluding the key from being accidentally turned. The device may suitably be molded from a resilient thermoplastic resin. The device may also comprise an eye within which the key is received, the eye comprising opposed washer like members the one having serrated posts upstanding therefrom, the other openings for receiving the posts therein in locked relationship.Type: GrantFiled: June 2, 1983Date of Patent: February 12, 1985Inventor: Bernard Mair

Patent number: 4491726Abstract: The invention relates to an information data processing and audio message delivering system useful as a promotional feature to attract customers by housing same into an appealing body exhibiting a pleasant and sympathetic character. The information data are registered on a punch card or ticket which is introduced into a reading circuit that generates signals representative of each read information data. These signals are stored in a memory and latching circuit to feed a period validation circuit which defines the time period within which the punch ticket may be used. A further validation circuit is provided to validate a prize granted to a ticket holder, in accordance with related data registered on the punch ticket.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 1982Date of Patent: January 1, 1985Assignee: Cossette & AssociesInventor: Yves Marmet

Patent number: 4461521Abstract: The invention is concerned with a bracket for hanging a multi-tap directional coupling device from a suspended wire, such as a strand running between poles on a street, and for grounding a plurality of support wires each of which extends along a respective cable, connected to the coupling device, for supporting same, the support wires each having a terminal end and a connecting portion contiguous thereto. The hanger bracket of the invention comprises an elongated member having a first end portion adapted to be detachably coupled to the coupling device, a second end portion provided with clamp means for releasable clamping engagement with the suspended wire, and a portion intermediate the first and second end portions defining a grounding plate. A separate fastener means is associated with each support wire for releasably securing the connecting portion thereof against the grounding plate whereby to provide a common ground for all the support wires.Type: GrantFiled: May 6, 1982Date of Patent: July 24, 1984Inventor: Isaac Sachs

Patent number: 4457483Abstract: The invention is concerned with a collapsible support for bags which is formed from a one-piece blank made of flexible sheet material and has fastening means holding the sheet material to define an open-ended form-retaining structure for receiving a bag and supporting same in an upright open-mouthed position. The form-retaining structure has a solid circumferential sidewall extending substantially the full height of the bag in its upright position, whereby to permit a peripheral end portion of the bag to be retained folded over an upper edge of the sidewall. The bag support of the invention permits the bag to be easily withdrawn therefrom, prevents sharp objects from piercing the bag when it is inserted into the bag to form a protective liner for the bag, and can be collapsed for convenient storage and/or handling.Type: GrantFiled: October 8, 1981Date of Patent: July 3, 1984Inventor: Laureat Gagne
