Abstract: Organosilanes of formula ##STR1## or siloxane oligomers thereof, wherein R.sub. 1 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms orZ(OC.sub. x H.sub. 2x).sub.mwhere x is 2 to 4, m is 1 to 20, and Z is hydrogen, an alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms or an acyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms; a is 0 to 2; R.sub.2 is an alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms; b is 1 to 3; R.sub.3 is an alkyl, aryl or arylalkyl group containing 1 to 12 carbon atoms, a carboxy-substituted alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms,(C.sub.x H.sub.2x O).sub.m Zwhere x, m and Z are as defined above, or oxygen provided only one R.sub.3 is oxygen; R.sub.4 is an alkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl group containing 1 to 22 carbon atoms; X is halide; and Y is nitrogen, phosphorus, or sulfur. The novel compounds are useful for inclusion in a detergent composition for imparting soil release benefits to metallic and vitreous surfaces washed or rinsed therewith.

Abstract: The performance of an aqueous detergent composition containing an anionic detergent and an organosilane capable of imparting soil release benefits to hard surfaces washed therewith is enhanced by the addition of free alkalinity and/or mineral hardness ions. The detergent composition can be formulated for use in a wide range of applications such as dishwashing liquids, car wash compositions and general hard surface cleaners.
Abstract: A detergent composition containing an anionic detergent and an organosilane is capable of imparting soil release benefits to hard surfaces washed therewith. Soil adheres to such surfaces less strongly thereby making them easier to clean. The detergent composition can be formulated for use in a wide range of applications, e.g., as a light duty liquid composition, car wash composition, oven cleaner, window cleaner or toilet bowl cleaner.

Abstract: Liquid detergent compositions containing a nonionic surface-active agent and a gel-forming gelatin. The compositions minimize filming, streaking, and spotting of tableware and kitchen utensils washed in solutions of the compositions and dried in air without polishing by a towel.
