Abstract: A fluid operated tool 30 (FIG. 4) for use in replacing a body clamped between facing platens has an open ended tubular member 31, through which the body can pass, that carries outwardly thereof, and axially extending, coplaner support arms 33, 34 at the end of which are hydraulic piston and cylinder arrangements 35, 36 for inserting between the platens to overcome the clamping force on the body, permitting it to be removed and replaced by way of the tubular member 31. The tool may be used subsea with a submersible to handle it and provide hydraulic power.

Abstract: A method for controlling a tufting machine in which a supply length of a ground fabric and a yarn feed length each for a unit stitch number are selected as control measures. Since the motion of a stitch shaft is steady and stable compared to that of a spiked roller, control in accordance with the present invention results in a stable operation of the tufted machine relative to the conventional method, in which the control measures are based on a unit supply length of the ground fabric. A yarn weight per square meter is also measured and indicated during the tufting operation.
Abstract: An automatic machine for pressing bricks at high speeds is provided with a pressure wheel and pressing tongues attached to the circumference of the wheel through an axle which permits the tongues to rotate or swing about the axle. Clay material is fed to an endless belt comprising a plurality of moulds, pressed by the pressure wheel, and then conveyed to a release station. The railing for the endless belt has an expanded portion so that the end walls of the moulds are released outwardly as they pass this portion, allowing the pressed brick to drop to another belt to be sent to an oven.
Abstract: A new lock wherein during locking, the lock latch is moved horizontally into a socket and rotated therein so as to hook up the socket housing, thus reinforcing the lock, and the pins in the lock cylinder are designed to be adjustable in order to fit for some keys with special shapes; furthermore, the cylinder spindle is covered with a sleeve to strengthen the locking function.
Abstract: A dust blower for circular knitting machines, having a plurality of electric fans each one of which being mounted on an arm adjustably mounted around a rotatable frame which is driven by a driving device independent of the electric fans, the driving device being an electric motor or a rotating member of the circular knitting machine with which the dust blower is used.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a versatile pocket-size container, and in particular to one mainly comprising an upper body, a lower body and a cover in which are accomodated scores of daily necessities thereby beneficially assembling several tens of functions in a container.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a clamp regulator for transfusing liquid and blood, and in particular to one which utilizes an adjustable wheel made integrally with an auxiliary wheel to compress a tubing on a conical surface so as to regulate the liquid flow passing through the tubing.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel limb-supporting frame which is movable and easy to be dismantled. Especially to a combination of a shank-supporting frame, an ankle-supporting frame, and a leg-supporting frame. The said frames are fixed by means of the threads of the frames, collars, and packing pieces; thus, the ankle-supporting frame and the shoe attached to the ankle-supporting frame can be taken off, and the limb-supporting frame is easy to be dismantled and combined. There is a joint between the shank-supporting frame and the leg-supporting frame, so that the shank-supporting frame can be swung backward. Moreover, the length of the limb-supporting frame according to the present invention can be adjusted in accordance with the growth of the skeleton.
Abstract: A combination lock for luggage cases, comprising a frame, to be mounted on one part of the luggage case, a lock plate provided with a plurality of lock lugs, a plurality of lock wheels each having a slot to be selectively engaged with a corresponding one of the lock lugs, the lock wheels each being provided with a dial wheel, the dial wheels being laid flat side by side on the frame and having an upper surface carrying a group of code figures arranged in a circle. The lock plate is further provided with a hook means for engaging and disengaging a hasp member provided on another part of the luggage case. When the lock wheels are rotated to align the slots with the lock lugs, the lock plate is free to move so that the hook means can be moved toward and away from the hasp member.
