Abstract: A non-gouging sheet stripper assembly is disclosed for stripping copy sheets from a surface of a moving fusing member. The non-gouging sheet stripper assembly includes (a) at least one baffle forming part of a sheet path; (b) a finger shaft having a first end attached to the at least one baffle and a second distal end for forming a sheet directing first angle with the surface of the moving fusing member; and (c) a finger tip located at the second distal end of the finger shaft and having a contour for forming a sheet stripping second angle, that is different from the sheet directing first angle with the surface of the moving fusing member.

Abstract: A high load low load cleaning blade assembly provided for cleaning a toner image bearing surface includes a blade member having a first edge mounted to a frame, a second and opposite edge for contacting and loading against the toner image bearing surface, and a blade width connecting the first edge to the second edge. The high load low load blade assembly also includes a blade holder for holding and loading the blade member against the moving toner image bearing surface. The blade holder includes a frame, and a blade loading plate operatively connected to the frame and extending from the frame towards the second edge of the blade member for stiffening the blade width and determining a resulting blade loading force of each portion of the second edge against regions of the toner image bearing surface.
Abstract: A smart and virgin contact fuser service assembly is disclosed for servicing a toner fuser assembly and includes (a) a cleaning device including a cleaning member having virgin cleaning portions on a cleaning surface, the virgin cleaning portions being feedable in a single pass into cleaning contact with a fuser first surface of a fuser member being cleaned; (b) an oiling device including an oiling member having virgin oiling portions on an oiling surface, the virgin oiling portions being feedable in a single pass into oiling contact with a second surface of a fuser member being oiled; and (c) a controller connected to the cleaning device and to the oiling device for selectably and controllably feeding the virgin cleaning portions and the oiling portions in response to a measurable condition of the surface of the fuser roll.
