Abstract: A bat includes a substantially tubular frame, a substantially tubular body and at least one sheet. The frame extends along a longitudinal axis. The frame has a handle portion and a primary hitting portion. The body is coaxially aligned with the hitting portion of the frame. The sheet has a proximal edge, a distal edge, and first and second side edges. The sheet is coupled to at least a portion of one of the hitting portion of the frame and the body such that the first and second edges each extend from the proximal edge to the distal edge along a path that is substantially non-parallel with the longitudinal axis.

Abstract: A sports equipment bag includes a flexible elongated body defining an equipment storage region. The body includes at least one recloseable opening and an outwardly facing reflective barrier layer having a reflectivity of at least 80 percent. At least a portion of the barrier layer is viewable from outside of the bag.

Abstract: A game ball including a casing and a lacing. The casing has a laced region. The lacing is coupled to the laced region of the casing. The lacing has an exposed surface comprised of an outer material that is compressible, resilient, and tactile. The outer material has a modulus of elasticity of between 14 and 170 kg/cm2 and a tensile strength between 100 and 650 kg/cm2. At least a portion of the lacing can have an exposed pebbled surface.

Abstract: A bumper guard for attachment to a sports racquet. The sports racquet includes a frame having a head portion with an outer peripheral surface and a plurality of grommet holes formed into the head portion for supporting a string bed. The bumper guard includes an elongate body having a first length, an inner surface and an outer surface. The body includes a central region and first and second wings. The central region, when installed on the racquet, is generally centered about a plane defined by the string bed. The first and second wings extend from the central region. The inner surface of the body configured to generally conform with the peripheral outer surface of the head portion. Each of the first and second wings has an inner wall and an outer wall defining at least one elongate hollow cavity.

Abstract: A bat, configured for impacting a ball, includes a substantially tubular frame and a substantially tubular body. The frame extends along a longitudinal axis and has a handle portion and a primary hitting portion. The body is coaxially aligned with the hitting portion of the frame. The body includes a proximal end, a distal end, and first and second tubular wall transition regions. The wall thickness of the first tubular wall transition region generally increases along the longitudinal axis from a first position, generally near the proximal end, toward the distal end. The wall thickness of the second tubular wall transition region generally increases along the longitudinal axis from a second position, generally near the distal end, toward the proximal end. The body is configured to move independently with respect to the hitting portion of the frame upon impact with the ball.

Abstract: A golf ball includes a core, an intermediate layer and a cover. The core is formed of a first composition, the intermediate layer is formed of a second composition, and the cover is formed of a third composition. The specific gravity of each of the first, second and third compositions are generally equal to each other. The first, second, and third compositions are each sufficiently mixed such that the ball exhibits random orientation when floated in a solution of sufficient density to support the ball.

The handle portion has a distal end and a proximal end. The distal end of the handle portion is coupled to the head portion. The handle portion has a length and an outer surface. Each channel inwardly extends into the outer surface and extends generally parallel to the longitudinal axis from the distal end of the handle portion and over at least a portion of the length of the handle portion. Each channel is configured for receiving at least one string and for guiding the string along at least a portion of the length of the handle portion.

Abstract: A golf club vibration dampening and sound attenuation system including an elongated shaft, a club head, a resilient insert assembly, a dampener, and a grip. The shaft has a distal shaft end and a proximal shaft end. The club head is coupled to the distal shaft end, and includes a front wall and a sole portion. The front wall has a rearwardly sloped front strike side and a rear side. The sole portion rearwardly extends from a lower region of the rear side. The rear side and the sole portion define a cavity and a recess. The recess downwardly extends into the sole portion. A resilient insert assembly is positioned in and substantially fills the recess. The insert assembly is coupled to one or both of the sole portion and the lower region. The dampener is disposed within the shaft and has at least one annular radially extending projection.

The shell has an inner surface and an outer surface. The padding assembly is coupled to the inner surface of the shell. The padding assembly has at least two spaced apart adjustment points. The adjustment assembly includes a guide, a strap and at least one adjusting member. The guide is operably coupled to the inner surface of the shell. The strap has a first portion connected to the guide and a second portion releasably connected to the outer surface of the helmet. The adjusting member is operably engaged to the guide and is connected to the adjustment points of the padding assembly.

Abstract: A putter head including a toe portion, a heel portion, a generally vertically extending wall and an insert. The wall has a front strike face, a rear surface, an upper layer, and a lower layer. The upper layer, the lower layer and the rear surface each extend from the heel portion to the toe portion to define a recess rearwardly extending into the wall from the strike face. The rear surface of the wall is formed with variable thickness thereby providing the recess with a variable rearward depth. The insert substantially fills the recess and connects to the wall. The insert has a front surface, a top surface, a bottom surface and a rear surface. The front surface is exposed, while the top and bottom surfaces are substantially covered by the wall.
