Abstract: Provided are a method, a device, and a system for displaying at least one character for identifying a caller, together with the caller's phone number, on a recipient's mobile phone when an incoming call is received. The system includes a caller's mobile phone for allowing the caller to input a recipient's phone number and at least one character desired to be added after the phone number, generating an outgoing call message including the caller's phone number, recipient's phone number and input word or phrase for an outgoing call, and sending the generated message; a base station for receiving the outgoing call message, and changing the outgoing call message to an incoming call message which will be sent to the recipient's mobile phone; and the recipient's mobile phone for receiving the incoming call message and outputting any word or phrase included in the incoming call message.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for timing acquisition and carrier frequency offset estimation of an OFDM communication system and an apparatus using the same. For this purpose the present invention provides a method for calculating at least one auto-correlation and calculating an observation value by performing a sliding sum on the at least one auto-correlation, and calculating a peak point of an absolute value of the observation as frame timing. In addition, the present invention provides a method for generating a third OFDM symbol that is generated by delaying a second OFDM symbol, calculating an observation value through the second and third OFDM symbols, and calculating a phase difference from a result of multiplication of the observation value and a conjugate complex value of the observation value such that a carrier frequency offset can be estimated.

Abstract: A method for reducing a Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) using reserved tones in a transmission apparatus of an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) communication system is provided. The method includes detecting a subcarrier spacing interval and the number of spaced symbols based on a predetermined pilot pattern upon signal reception, and determining positions of shifted reserved tones obtained by shifting positions of reserved tones allocated to a predetermined symbol during the number of the spaced symbols at intervals of the spacing interval; determining an impulse waveform obtained by rotating a phase of a complex value of an impulse stored in a memory, using the determined positions of frequency-domain reserved tones of each symbol; calculating a subtrahend for a PAPR of an output signal using the phase-rotated impulse waveform; and reducing a PAPR of an input signal by performing a gradient algorithm using the phase-rotated impulse waveform.

Abstract: An apparatus for generating a linear code according to the present invention includes a coding unit for coding input bits with a second coding scheme which is different from a first coding scheme for generating the linear code; and a rearrangement unit for generating the linear code by rearranging the bits coded with the second coding scheme. The present invention can provide a coding apparatus and method capable of reducing complexity by adaptively applying it to various coding scheme.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for adjusting a ring tone volume in a mobile communication terminal. The method implements a function by which a user can directly adjust the ring tone volume in a mobile communication terminal in consideration of circumstances. To this end, the present invention includes a user interface screen by which a user can adjust the output volume level of the ring tone which rings according to the passage of time. Two or more light sources transmit data received from one or more VLC terminals located in its service area to a communication control device, and transmits data received from the communication control device to the one or more VLC terminals. The communication control device determines and groups at least one of the two or more light sources to be included in a cell according to a generated user service, maps the grouped at least one light source to the cell, allocates a time slot used to provide the user service to the cell, transmits data associated with the user service to at least one of the one or more VLC terminals through the at least one light source mapped to the cell using the allocated time slot, detects a location of the at least one VLC terminal located in a service area of the cell on a real-time basis, and remaps the cell according to the detected location.

Upon receipt of an access request from an end device, a trust center sends a public key to the end device, and upon receipt of the public key, the end device encrypts an arbitrary key using the public key, and sends the encrypted arbitrary key to the trust center. The trust center generates a link key using the arbitrary key, and sends the link key to the end device.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating a parity-check matrix of a Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) code are provided. Parameters for designing the LDPC code are determined, and a first parity-check matrix of a quasi-cyclic LDPC code is formed according to the determined parameters. A second parity-check matrix is created through the elimination of a predetermined portion of a parity part in the first parity-check matrix, and a third parity-check matrix is created by rearranging the second parity-check matrix.
