Abstract: A precast concrete meter pit consisting of a plurality of precast concrete hollow elongated cylindrical wall sections in end to end relation to one another is fabricated by utilizing a slip form packerhead apparatus in which the wall sections are formed with an annular slip ring when concrete is injected into the slip form apparatus.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating fish and debris from water, the apparatus being made up of a frame member within which a rotating drum member is mounted, the drum member containing circumferentially mounted, longitudinally extending chamber members with an open side, and an air distribution member for inducing air into the chambers, facilitating rotation of the drum member. The method and apparatus are conformable for use in areas where the flow of water is a concern.

Abstract: A retaining and cutting device for positioning a leading edge of material at one end of a roll and for puncturing and severing the material a pre-determined distance from the leading edge after removing from the roll, the retaining device comprising elongated jaw members pivotally connected together, a closure member normally urging the jaw members together, and a cutter along one edge of at least one of the jaw members. Extensions of the jaw members are manually grasped to urge the jaw members into an open position for insertion of the next leading edge of material therebetween. The device may also be utilized as a cutting tool for opening sealed boxes and the like.

Abstract: A standard dental syringe is made up of an outer cylinder with a plunger at one end, and a carpule which contains liquid medication to be injected into a patient is replaceably positioned within the barrel and includes a needle slidably mounted at one end of the carpule in communication with the fluid medication which is contained in a fluid chamber sealed off at each end by a plug so that when the plunger is advanced into engagement with a first plug at one end of the carpule the liquid medication is delivered through the needle and upon completion of the plunger stroke, a barbed extension of the slidable first plug member will move into engagement with the needle-retaining second plug member so that upon retraction of the plunger the needle-retaining plug member will be retracted along with the slidable first plug member.

Abstract: A centrifugal clutch for utilization with an engine of a motorcycle is disclosed herein. The centrifugal clutch includes a clutch basket, a cover plate, a hub, first clutch plates, second clutch plates and a dynamic expansion ring assembly having cam members. The dynamic expansion ring assembly imparts substantially equal expansion forces in opposite directions. A gap is present when the engine is at an idle speed and cam members are positioned radially inward, and the gap is not present when the engine is operating faster than idle and the cam members are positioned radially outward by centrifugal force.

Abstract: An impeller vane assembly for blending liquids with solid particulate matter in which a center drive shaft extends through a housing having a solid particle inlet and a liquid inlet together with an outlet, and upper and lower impeller vanes are aligned respectively with the particle inlet and liquid inlet to cause intermixing of the solids and liquids by counterflow of the liquid into the upper impeller region, the upper and lower vanes being separated by a common divider plate, the upper vanes being radially split and lower vanes having outer split tips, the vanes being operative to balance the point at which the solids and liquid are intermixed between the solid particle inlet and annular space surrounding the impeller. In one embodiment, inner concentric expeller blades are employed with the upper impeller vanes to accelerate the flow of solid particles.

Abstract: In a coaxial cable connector assembly, having a connector sleeve or retaining end of a coaxial cable and a coupling member between the sleeve and a terminal port to draw the sleeve into engagement with an end of the port, an internal locking device is made up of an annular groove formed along an internally threaded portion of the coupling member and a compressible washer which is pre-assembled in the groove, the coupling member having a male threaded end complementary to the internally threaded portion and washer so that when advanced through the internally threaded portion and washer will increase the torque loading between the coupling member and sleeve to resist accidental loosening or disengagement therebetween.
