Abstract: A self righting container having a hollow and generally spherical shape and an eccentrically weighted ballast and a method of using the container. Upon rotation or other movement of the container, the weighted ballast urges the container to return to a predetermined orientation, typically determiner such that a container opening would be positioned at a desired location. The weighted ballast may further comprise a magnet such that metallic objects may be contained within the interior of the container and may even be retained in a particular orientation as determined by the magnetic forces. As the container is a highly desirable device, especially for office locations, graphical or advertising material may be imprinted on at least one portion of its outer surface for the purpose of providing advertising or promotion.
Abstract: A compact multifunction pedometer and method of advertising includes a computerized calculating function to accurately determine the calorie consumption, distance and the time for exercise duration. Utilizing input data of the user's height, weight, average stride and desired time period for exercise of walking or running, the pedometer calculates, and if desired displays, the consumed calories as well as the distance traveled and lapsed time of striding or alternatively, the time remaining for a scheduled walking or running session. The calories burned during exercise are accurately determined through calculations based on the individual's stride and weight data input by the user. The pedometer is extremely compact, has easy to operate function controls and may include a belt clip for ease of use during exercise. The pedometer including surfaces suitable for displaying advertising.
Abstract: A timing device including a primary audio signal and a secondary visual signal feature which is released upon expiration of the desired time sequence and will thereupon extend outward from the timer body. The audio and visual signal features may be activated independently or simultaneously, at the user's selection. The function of this timer is also entirely mechanical, thereby rendering the device highly useful for the hearing impaired, compatible with a broad spectrum of environmental conditions, capable of long life operation and completely portable and self powered. The outer surfaces of the timing device, having relatively smooth surfaces, are well-suited for application of art work, logos and graphics for advertising and promotional purposes.
Abstract: A portable hand-held device for producing output values, such as body mass index calculations, has a hand-holdable housing that includes a memory unit storing a pre-defined non-linear algorithm. A processing unit located in the housing applies the algorithm to input values selected by an input means on the housing, and produces output values via an output means on the housing. The range of selectable input values is pre-defined and is assignable to variables for applying the algorithm. Advertising indicia may be imprinted on the housing, and the housing may be attached to external devices. Optionally, a timing unit, such as a countdown timer, may be included.
Abstract: A beverage container having three elongated generally planar side surfaces with three rounded or blunted side edges and three corresponding pouring apexes at the triangular mouth thereof, sealed by a removable triangular lid with a V-shaped orifice, to provide improved pouring and liquid flow characteristics. The triangular configuration of the container enables it to be tightly nested with other identical containers and also presents more planar and discrete outer surface areas for disposing advertising material thereon. The container comprises an inner and outer shell affixed together at open ends thereof.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a collapsible utility bag which may, for example, be sized to fit within an athletic locker. The utility bag is generally rectangular in shape with a door that is hingedly attached to the front of the utility bag. Top and bottom rigid panels are provided, which are hinged or removable, and when in position support a top wall and a bottom wall. Removable side panels provide rigidity to side walls. Generally rectangular frames may be incorporated into the utility bag to provide further rigid support to the front and the rear of the bag. The utility bag can be collapsed for easy storage or shipping by removing the side panels, detaching the top and bottom panels, and collapsing the front of the bag towards the rear of the bag. A method for utilizing the present invention as a vehicle for advertising is also described.
