    Abstract: Disclosed is a welding wire tangling-prevention device for preventing tangling of a welding wire received in a large-capacity pail pack in the form of a vertically-extending tube-shaped wound body including eccentrically-stacked continuous spiral loops, when the welding wire is drawn out from the pail pack. The device includes a ring member laid on the top surface of the tube-shaped wound body, the ring member including an outer ring having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the pail pack, and an inner ring having an outer diameter smaller than the inner diameter of the outer ring, a plurality of comb teeth extending from an inner circumferential surface of the outer ring toward the inner ring, and a plurality of comb teeth extending from an outer circumferential surface of the inner ring toward the outer ring, whereby the welding wire is drawn out between the outer and inner rings.

    Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a surface protective sheet and a method for grinding a semiconductor wafer, by the use of which any dimple is not formed, nor occurs breakage and fouling of a wafer even when a wafer having high bumps which are highly densely arranged is ground to an extremely small thickness, and besides, no adhesive is left at the roots of the bumps after the surface protective sheet is peeled. The surface protective sheet of the invention is used for grinding a back surface of a semiconductor wafer, and in the surface protective sheet, one surface of a base sheet is provided with an opening portion having a diameter smaller than an outer diameter of a semiconductor wafer to be stuck, on said opening portion no adhesive layer being formed, and a portion which is provided around the opening portion and on which an adhesive layer is formed.

    Abstract: The process for preparing tubular titanium oxide particles comprises subjecting a water dispersion sol, which is obtained by dispersing (i) titanium oxide particles and/or (ii) titanium oxide type composite oxide particles comprising titanium oxide and an oxide other than titanium oxide in water, said particles having an average particle diameter of 2 to 100 nm, to hydrothermal treatment in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide. After the hydrothermal treatment, reduction treatment (including nitriding treatment) may be carried out. The tubular titanium oxide particles obtained in this process are useful as catalysts, catalyst carriers, adsorbents, photocatalysts, decorative materials, optical materials and photoelectric conversion materials. Especially when the particles are used for semiconductor films for photovoltaic cells or photocatalysts, prominently excellent effects are exhibited.

The alloy must also satisfy the ratio of (Nb-7.75 C)/(Al+Ti)=0.5-9 in order to obtain the desired high strength by the formation of ?? and ?? phases. The alloy has a minimum of 1% by weight ?? phase dispersed in its matrix for strength purposes and a total weight percent of ??+?? phases being between 10 and 30.

In surface treatment of an ALDC material containing Si, Fe, Cu, Mn, Mg, Zn and Ni, the surface treatment composition for removing Si and reduced metal salt from the surface of the ALDC material after etching comprises hydrogen peroxide 300 to 950 g/l, fluorine ion-containing inorganic salt 1 to 300 g/l and balance water. The surface treatment method for removing Si and reduced metal salt from the surface of an ALDC material after etching comprises the step of dipping the ALDC material into the above described surface treatment composition. The aforementioned surface treatment composition effectively removes the Si and reduces metal salt impurities from the surface of the ALDC material without any problems such as NOx or HF gas which is harmful to the human and waste water treatment.

The method includes the steps of preparing a slab of the above-described composition, heating the slab to 1,100° C. to 1,250° C. for 60-180 minutes, hot rolling the heated slab in an austenite recrystallization range at a 40% or more rolling reduction followed by controlled cooling.
