Patent number: 5231753Abstract: In case of inserting an IC having multiple pins into an IC socket so as to be brought into contact with the IC socket, a contact pressure application unit is integrated with the IC socket, whereby the IC is inserted into and brought into contact with the IC socket without bending a lead of the IC. An IC contact mechanism comprises a contact pressure application unit having a through hole at the center thereof, the contact pressure application unit also having a mold guide portion so as to contact an outer periphery of a package of an IC and a lead presser portion for pressing a lead of the IC; and a suction block having a suction pad at the tip end thereof and movable vertically in the through hole of the contact pressure application unit characterized in that the IC is inserted into a contact socket so as to be brought into contact with the contact socket while the suction pad sucks the IC.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1992Date of Patent: August 3, 1993Assignee: Ando Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Toru Tanaka, Osamu Mitsui

Patent number: 5176584Abstract: A silent chain having a series of links, with adjacent links being pivotally joined by transversely-extending connecting pins. Each link is defined by a plurality of link plates disposed in sidewardly adjacent relationship, which link plates define inwardly projecting sprocket teeth adjacent opposite ends thereof. Guide plates are disposed adjacent opposite sides of some of the links and extend between adjacent connecting pins. Plate spring links are sidewardly interposed between adjacent link plates or between a link plate and a sidewardly adjacent guide plate. The spring link plates have a configuration such that no portion thereof extends into the pitch circle of the sprocket which meshes with the chain links.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 1991Date of Patent: January 5, 1993Assignee: Tsubakimoto Chain Co.Inventors: Hiroki Ishida, Masaru Morimoto, Nobuyuki Fujimoto, Masao Maruyama

Patent number: 4817772Abstract: A shiftable friction clutch, in particular for gear drives, includes a gearshift sleeve axially movably supported on the shaft to be coupled and comprising at least one axially movable friction ring which belongs to one clutch half, which through clutch friction surfaces cooperates with the other clutch half and which is supported on the shaft to be coupled through rolling members to produce a contact pressure depending on the torque by means of sloped surfaces inclined with respect to the plane of rotation. To make shifting easier, in particular the disengagement, the sloped surfaces are provided on at least one element which is rotatable relative to the shaft and which is arranged in a corresponding recess in the shaft and can be moved against a spring force acting in direction of rotation of the shaft.Type: GrantFiled: November 2, 1987Date of Patent: April 4, 1989Assignee: Carl Hurth Maschinen- und Zahnradfabrik GmbH & Co.Inventor: Christoph Sacher

Patent number: 4792369Abstract: The present invention relates to a copper wire for use in sound or image reproducing systems, such as audio, video and television systems, etc., and a method for manufacturing the same. The copper wire consists of high purity copper in which silver and sulfur contents are both not more than 0.5 ppm and preferably has a crystal grain size not less than 0.02 mm and is unidirectionally solidified or single crystallized. Such a copper wire is manufactured by continuously casting electrodeposited copper which has been obtained by refining by re-electrolysis of electrolytic copper, using a specially arranged casting apparatus having a mold projecting to an electrolytic bath.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 1987Date of Patent: December 20, 1988Assignee: Nippon Mining Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takashi Ogata, Masanori Kato, Yoshio Kawasumi, Chikara Tominaga, Kanji Tanaka

Patent number: 4772304Abstract: A transparent BN-type ceramic material comprising 10 to 40 wt. % of boron (B), 35 to 55 wt. % of nitrogen (N) and 3 to 40 wt. % of silicon (Si) as the main component elements, and 1 to 10 wt. % of sub-component elements, with the property of not being crystallized by heat treatment at 1600.degree. C. for one hour, and a method of producing the above ceramic material by reacting a boron-containing compound, a nitrogen-containing compound and a silicon-containing compound at deposition temperatures in a range of more than 1300.degree. C. to less than 1700.degree. C. with the total gas pressure within a reaction furnace maintained in the range from 10 Torr to 100 Torr by use of a chemical vapor deposition method are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1986Date of Patent: September 20, 1988Assignees: Research Development Corporation of Japan, Japan Metals & Chemicals Co., Ltd., The Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd., Toshio HiraiInventors: Hiroyuki Nakae, Yukio Matsunami, Toshitsugu Matsuda, Toshio Hirai
