Abstract: A golf swing formation aid has a resilient cushion sandwiched between two additional resilient cushions, with sleeves to receive the arms of a golfer holding a golf club to provide between the arms a predetermined spacing during a swing of the golf club by the golfer. A differential in the resilience of the cushions allows for accommodation of the movement of the arms during the swing while maintaining the predetermined spacing. The cushions have different degrees of resilience.
Abstract: Valve clearance adjusting shims in an internal combustion engine having an overhead cam, are removed and replaced by compressing a valve spring through a cam follower forcibly held against the spring pressure by a valve clearance tool. A method for relieving pressure against the valve spring and for replacing the valve clearance adjusting shims is described.
Abstract: Faults, dimensions and other characteristics of a material or structure are sensed by a coherent beam's reflection from the material during ultrasonic or very fast vibration. The reflected beam acquires a phase substantially different from its original phase and from the phase of a reference beam split from the common source beam. The reflected beam and the reference beam are superimposed by diffraction in a multiple quantum well adaptive holographic beamsplitter, and the superimposed beams are detected by a photodetector capable of detecting small interference changes from ultrasonic surface displacements or perturbations. An apparatus and method defining an improved homodyne interferometer for performing the method is described.

Abstract: A method for time use analysis of a higher level language program is performed by displaying source code lines in descending order according to the amount of time spent by the program to execute machine code into which the source code lines have been compiled. Source code lines are displayed arranged in order according to the percentages of the amounts of time spent in execution during runs of the program, and the higher percentages identified for optimizing actions. A digital processing apparatus for performing the analysis includes a display for showing the source code lines that require the most time of execution, a selection apparatus for selecting those source code lines having the greater opportunity for significant corrective action, and displaying the various selected source code lines in the order in which the lines are kept in the program along with the corresponding time spent by the program to execute machine code into which the source code lines have been compiled.

Abstract: A modular container provides a first bin having a compartment for holding general shaped objects and a second compartment for holding vertically a pad of paper in the longitudinal dimension relative to the first compartment. The container includes a slidable printing surface extending from and recessing into said first bin while being prevented from complete removal. A second modular bin is removably attachable to the first bin without covering the compartment of the first bin for vertically holding a pad of paper, and is positionable in a plurality of selectable positions.
Abstract: A transparent disk rotates in relation to a fixed surface having indicia on it in response to weighted darts adhered to a surface on the disk. The indicia on the fixed surface is observable through the transparent disk. A method of resolving the position of the rotatable disk in relation to the fixed disk includes adhering in tie sequence a plurality of such weighted darts, each causing the disk to rotate in turn about its center of rotation and to change the position of previously adhered darts in relation to the indicia on the fixed surface. Where the indicia comprises a pattern of marked areas each having scoring associated with it, a scoring for the corresponding darts can be calculated in accordance with the position of each dart in relation to the indicia as seen through the transparent disk surface.
Abstract: An elongated element has two ends, each of which is attached to a garment a spaced distance apart from each other to form a loop with the garment, the spaced distance being determined by the structure of an object which the loop is designed to hold in close proximity to the wearer of the garment. The loop can be formed with the collar, a pocket, seam or on a surface of the garment.
Abstract: A cover for attachment to a cylindrical plastic drum, the drum having an open top end and a closed bottom end and an inside and an outside, the drum having a lifting flange on the outside thereof adjacent to the top end of the drum, the cover including a circular lid having a channel means integrally molded therewith extending around the periphery thereof for receiving the top end of the drum, the channel means having a downturned portion and a horizontal portion integrally molded together, the downturned portion being adapted to contact the outside of the top end of the drum and the flange, the downturned portion being thicker than the horizontal portion to form a tight seal with the outside of the drum when placed on the drum and connected to the drum by a locking ring.
Abstract: A co-polymer composition for coating porous structural material includes a compatible surfactant resulting in a structural inter-bonding between the coating composition and the structural material. The co-polymer composition cured in a layer of unsupported foam has sufficient strength to be used as a substitute for comparably or larger sized layers of re-enforced concrete for conducting fluids while resisting compressive loads. A co-polymer foam composition for coating structural material cures to have an atmosphere-facing surface that is substantially impervious to corrosive substance penetration.
Abstract: A tackle box having rotating tray compartments mounted about a center post and adapted to close and to fit within the circular top opening of a bucket, has a lifting ring on the center post for selectively removing the tackle box and has a sliding lid for selectively opening and closing the tackle box to provide access to the tray compartments.
Abstract: A modular unit having a slot or prepared hole on a face plate is mounted to a rack by a threaded fastener having at least a first and a second threaded portions along its length. A nut for fastening to the second portion of the threaded fastener is designed to have a greater diameter and a pitch predetermined for quick assembly and release, while the first portion is fastened to a rack.
Abstract: A self-inflatable balloon and motor-driven turbine assembly has a communication discernible on a surface of the balloon and has a pneumatically sealed enclosure for the turbine. The sealed enclosure has an outlet port and which, together with the inlet port, are positioned in relation to the turbine to permit efficient flow of air or other gas into the balloon when it is desired to inflate the balloon. The outlet port or the inlet port, depending upon the embodiment, seals an enclosure when selectively operated to a closed position to prevent leaking of the gas from the inflated balloon.
Abstract: A stomach chamber bypass nutrient comprises a beadlet fabricated in two steps having two regions, a first region having the desired nutrient and a second region including fats and calcium based compounds. The nutrient includes lysine, methionine, .[.tryptothane.]. .Iadd.tryptophane.Iaddend., protein .[.harmones.]. .Iadd.hormones.Iaddend., vitamins and other nutrients in amounts of from 36% to 59%. The nutrient is fabricated by forming in a first step the nutrient in a beadlet form, and in a second step coating the nutrient beadlet with the second region.
