  • Patent number: 5447446
Abstract: An electrical connector component comprises a body member defining a compartment therein having an open end for the receipt of a mating electrical connector component, the body member further defining a recess adjacent the open end thereof, and a sealant for sealing engagement with said mating electrical connector component fixedly secured to the body member and resident in the recess. The body member further defines a mating surface located oppositely with respect to the open end and defines a further recess adjacent the mating surface, the sealant being resident also in the further recess. The sealant comprises a flowable material disposed in first part continuously interiorly of the body member adjacent the open end thereof and in second part continuously exteriorly of the body member adjacent the mating surface.

  • Patent number: 5430253
Abstract: A hinged electrical outlet cover biased rotatably about the hinge axis by an M-shaped spring. In one arrangement, the cover is self-closing throughout its entire range of movement between fully open and fully closed positions. In another arrangement, the cover is positively held open in its fully open position and is self-closing over a limited range of movement from its fully closed position to an intermediate open position. The cover and a support member on which it is hinged are designed for quick snap assembly without requiring the use of special tools or separate fasteners.

  • Patent number: 5396405
Abstract: A wiring patch panel cabinet accommodates plural termination devices. A cabinet support structure includes spaced apart top and bottom walls and opposed sidewalls. The cabinet support structure secures a plurality of individual patch panels. Each patch panel accommodates termination devices of a given type. The termination devices of one patch panel may be different from the termination devices of another patch panel supported by the cabinet structure. The patch panels are supported by the cabinet in side-by-side vertical orientation to facilitate removal and repair of an individual patch panel without disturbing adjacent patch panels.

  • Patent number: 5396033
Abstract: An H-Tap compression connection accommodates a pair of electrical conductors. The connector includes a connector body having a nest for receipt of the conductor. The nest is defined by a bottom wall and an opposed pair of upstanding sidewalls. The sidewalls are inwardly deformable upon application of a crimping force to deform around the conductor. One of the sidewalls includes a weakened portion so that the one sidewall deforms prior to the other sidewall. This permits the sidewalls to overlap around the conductor during crimping.

  • Patent number: RE34826
Abstract: The distance between the combustion nozzle and the pump of a waste oil heater can be significantly increased by using a positive displacement pump which is proximate to the reservoir and remote from the nozzle, contary to the usual positioning of oil delivery pumps. The pump, which is not pressure regulated, thus pushes oil to the nozzle at a constant flow rate regardless of oil pressure at the nozzle.
